Initial Thoughts
As we get closer and closer to summertime I get more and more excited about cold, fresh watermelon on a hot steamy DC day. One bud that I'd like to partake in prior to said watermelon refreshment is this Watermelon Runtz from DC i-71 delivery service, HYFE. This is not just because I want to pair Watermelon with watermelon to see what happens, but also because, with how stoney and full of munchies these buds make me, I know it's going to make the fruit form of watermelon taste that much more incredible. 🤤
Appearance
Gorgeous with lots of purple coloration and bright green patches. The trichome coverage is immense and hyper white.
Structure
Fluffy and spongy. Hand-trimmed.
Status
Beginning to cure.
Aroma
Sweet and fruity like candy with notes of cream and pine.
Flavor
Just awesome with lots of complex fruity, creamy, chemmy, and piney flavors all wrapped up in one hit. I was literally drooling on the exhale.
Lineage
The Watermelon Runtz strain is a cross of Watermelon Zkittlez and Runtz that runs indica dominant at around 75/25.
Effects
This is probably my favorite indica in my stash box presently and that speaks volumes. Its effects are what you would expect from an indica - heavy body buzz and euphoria - but there are some cerebral qualities that prevent couch lock from taking over. Note that the tingles it creates all over your body are like lovely little bursts of happiness that come in waves after each hit.
