The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) seized 577 pounds of processed cannabis and 18,644 plants from New Good Harvest 999 LLC as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal cannabis cultivation and diversion. This action is part of OBN's Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET) operations targeting black market trafficking and fraud. Since 2022, OBN MET agents have seized over 1.9 million illegal cannabis plants, more than 200,000 pounds of processed cannabis, and made over 300 arrests, leading to a significant reduction in active Oklahoma medical cannabis licenses.

The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) last week seized 577 pounds of
processed cannabis and 18,644 plants from New Good Harvest 999 LLC as part
of an ongoing investigation into illegal cannabis cultivation and diversion
under the guise of legal operations.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, OBN said its Marijuana Enforcement
Teams (MET) served a search warrant at the location, which led to the
illegal grow. Two people were arrested at the site and taken into the
custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In the post, OBN noted that the investigation is part of MET’s operations
targeting “operations tied to black market trafficking and obtaining an OBN
Registration by fraud using ‘straw ownership’ schemes.”

According to OBN, at the end of 2022, 8,400 farms were operating with an
active Oklahoma medical cannabis license, but as of Tuesday, that number
has been reduced to approximately 1,950. The agency notes that since 2022,
OBN MET agents have seized over 1.9 million illegal cannabis plants, more
than 200,000 pounds of processed cannabis, and made over 300 arrests.

MET was established by OBN in 2021 to address what the agency described as
“the escalating presence of criminal organizations setting up marijuana
operations in Oklahoma.”
