Initial Thoughts
Akin in aroma and flavor to the delectable Japanese dessert by the same name, the Mochi cultivar is also known as Gelato #47 or Mochi Gelato. This Blueberry crossbreed of Mochi, currently available from DC i-71 storefront dispensary, Elevated Lounge, is especially stanky and gassy at first whiff, but becomes sweetly complex, creamy, and slightly fruity when breaking it up. My guess is that it's going to taste magically exotic too. 🪄
Appearance
Robust and somewhat oversized buds that are pale green with hints of blue and tons of large trichomes.
Status
Beginning to cure, but still has starry trichomes in many places, including the inside.
Aroma
Skunky, gassy, creamy, and with hints of tart fruit.
Flavor
Sweet in a complex way with a smooth gassy exhale and hints of cream with tart fruit.
Lineage
The Mochi strain is a cross of Sunset Sherbert and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies that runs balanced at 50/50. The Blueberry influence likely sways this one to the indica side, however.
Effects
Staggeringly cerebral at first with a rush to the dome, then full of a matriculating body buzz that brings tingles and a heavy sense of relaxation. Prob best left for the evening or times of recuperation, it can cause some couch lock at higher doses and expect nearly insurmountable munchies.
Conclusion
This is one exceptional batch of this exotic cross and a perfect one to unwind with across your Memorial Day weekend. To grab some for your own stash just head to Elevated Lounge today and don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
