Initial Thoughts

As a Christian, it's challenging for me to see the name "Forbidden Fruit" and still want to be associated with said item. However, given that the name marijuana is the combination of Mary and John - and not to mention all of the plant's super beneficial qualities - I'm inclined to believe that cannabis should be supported by Christian beliefs and that the only entities forbidding it have ulterior motives (Hello big pharma! I see you). So in this case, it's kind of like the name "Forbidden Fruit" is a way of thumbing one's nose at said evil entities (governments included) and partaking in a beautiful gift from God.

Now then, this particular batch of Forbidden Fruit currently available from DC i-71 marijuana dispensary, Treehouse DC, is one of the best examples of this strain that i've seen in recent memory. The nose, in particular, is scrumptious and the coloration is quite...you might say...immaculate as well.

Rotund and supple dark purple buds with bright fiery orange pistils.

Fresh.

Aroma

Deliciously citrus like an orange with hints of shortbread and lime.

Flavor

Much like the aroma it's heavy on the citrus and has the essence of something like cookie dough in the exhale.

Lineage

The Forbidden Fruit strain is a cross of Tangie and Cherry Pie that runs indica dominant at 70/30.

Effects

Despite the Tangie in the lineage this one is deeply stoning with loads of euphoric feels. It is mood enhancing in a calming and cheery way - fully capable of bringing on some "perma-grin" - but if you go too far expect to be locked on your couch for a while. Great for lazy afternoons or evenings it's known to promote rest, rejuvenation, and can definitely increase appetite.

Conclusion

Overall, this is a marvelous batch of Forbidden Fruit that has the looks, mouthwatering flavor, and powerhouse indica effects that will have indica lovers drooling with joy. Regardless of your own religious affiliation, as far as I'm concerned the only thing that should be forbidden about this fruit is not growing it with this level of quality and care. To pick up some for yourself, and thumb your nose at the "man", just head to Treehouse DC today and don’t forget to mention that Toker’s Guide sent you!
