Initial Thoughts:
Joker (aka Sour Joker) from DC i-71 delivery service, Cannabear, is one that I've had my eye on for some time. I've always been a big fan of Sour Diesel and anything I can find that is crossed with it is typically great for my needs. The sativa dominant strains are what I'm typically after and this one is rumored to leave the user on the floor laughing uncontrollably. Let's see where it takes me!
Appearance:
These Dark Green nugs held deep red hairs with swollen bracts. They were dense yet spongy and you could really see the shiny trichomes dancing in the light. What hid underneath the dark exterior was bright green fluffy material once it came into contact with the teeth of my grinder.
Status:
This flower appears fresh and was harvested recently.
Aroma:
The buds have an earthy, piney aroma and, when ground up, a terpy fragrance of cheese and spice emerges. The pungent smell reeked up the entire downstairs of my townhome.
Flavor:
The smoke from this flower carries a rich and complex taste. There are earthy, spicy notes on the back end and a cheesy, skunky mouth at first.
Lineage:
Joker, or Sour Joker as it's often called, is a cross between Amnesia Haze and East Coast Sour Diesel. This Sativa dominant creation is reported to run something like 80/20 while testing at around 21% THC on average.
Effects:
I found the effects of this weed to be very uplifting and vibrant. It definitely held true to its name because comedy was on the menu for the evening and I don’t know if it was just me, but every single thing suddenly became funny. I was quite focused as well and I noticed that this herb was the kind that put me “In the Zone”. As an adult living with some type of untreated and undiagnosed ADHD, I can tell you that it is the one for me when it comes time to focus on a task (or many) at hand.
Conclusion:
If you like sativas, then this Joker is definitely for you - no joking around (this isn't Joker's Guide 😂 ). It's a real heavy-hitter and packs the driving energetic body buzz and active headspace to keep you moving through your day with a grin on your face and some pep in your step.
