Outlaw Report

In September, D.C.'s medical cannabis program recorded $7.8 million in
sales, down 5% from August amid a seasonal slowdown, though manufacturing
sales surged nearly fourfold year-over-year and concentrate and infused
products saw strong growth, with out-of-District patients from Maryland,
Virginia, and Florida continuing as top buyers. Meanwhile, Maryland awarded
a $217,000 grant to CannaWorkforce to expand cannabis workforce training in
2026, police temporarily paused the “Green Lab” cannabis impairment study
due to overwhelming volunteer response, and Virginia’s upcoming
gubernatorial race has renewed focus on the state’s unestablished retail
cannabis market, alongside the launch of an accredited online training
program for healthcare practitioners.
