Job description:
We are a DC cannabis review start-up that is rapidly growing. We are looking for a marketing guru - with a passion for cannabis - to spearhead marketing operations across DC or MD or VA (three similar roles, one in each location). Ideal candidates will have experience (with a verifiable track record of success) leading marketing efforts in a fast paced start-up-like environment. This role is mostly remote but does require the ability to travel throughout a designated area and meet with people in-person (must be local).

Responsibilities:

• Research, find, organize, prioritize, and grow audience and subscriber-base.

• Uncover, pitch, and close new partnerships and collaborations with key brands.

• Develop, define, and refine marketing strategies, tactics, and processes.

• Create, build, and manage events of varying sizes with other team members. 

• Recruit, develop, and manage a team of marketing associates.

• Collaborate with founding partners to expand business reach into key markets.

Skills:

• Marketing and Marketing Management (Email, Direct, Event, etc.)

• Data Analysis (skilled with Excel or Sheets at a minimum)

• Brand Sponsorship/Partnership experience.

• Experience with Event Management from ideation to execution preferred.

• New Business Development

• Presentations

• Strategy

• Communication, Negotiation

• Work experience in the cannabis industry desired, but not required.

• Excellent writing skills including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

• Vast knowledge of cannabis in various forms preferred.

• Experience with photography, videography, and/or graphics a plus.
