Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear expects medical cannabis dispensaries to be open by the end of the year, with cultivation and processing operations already underway. The state has approved over 30 dispensaries, and more than 16,000 patients have been certified for medical cannabis. < Back Kentucky Gov. Says He Expects Medical Cannabis Dispensaries to Open ‘Before the End of the Year’ Sep 11, 2025 Source: TG Branfalt Ganjapreneur Article Link Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) last week indicated he expects medical cannabis dispensaries to be open in the state “before the end of the year.” During the September 4 Team Kentucky Update, Beshear said that some dispensaries still require inspections but that cultivation and processing operations are underway. “I think everybody is working as hard and as fast as they can, but they’re wanting to make sure they do it right as well.” — Beshear, 9/4/25 Team Kentucky Update In late July, the governor announced the approval of the commonwealth’s first dispensary – The Post Dispensary in Beaver Dam – and at the time said that he expected operations would commence in the fall. Cultivators licensed by the state began operations in July. According to state data, more than 16,000 patients have been certified to use medical cannabis in Kentucky, and more than 11,500 patients have been issued their medical cannabis ID cards. The state’s dispensary map shows that more than 30 dispensaries have been approved throughout the state. Beshear signed the medical cannabis law in 2023, and it took effect in 2025. In May, he issued an executive order waiving the $25 renewal application fee for the 2026 calendar year for anyone who received a medical cannabis card during 2025. < Previous Next > Recent Reviews Bomb Popz Infused Pre-Roll - Fade Co. - Snoop Dogg Expands His Global Weed Empire with a New Spot in Amsterdam | Toker's Guide
Snoop Dogg opened his second Amsterdam coffee shop, Tha Dogg House, at the former De Kroon location in the city center. This follows the 2024 launch of his first shop, SWED, which was forced to change its name after local authorities classified the original title as a cannabis advertisement. < Back Snoop Dogg Expands His Global Weed Empire with a New Spot in Amsterdam May 10, 2026 Source: Sarah Carpenter Cannabis Now Article Link Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link Snoop Dogg is further cementing his legacy in the world’s most famous cannabis destination by launching his latest venture, Tha Dogg House. Located right in the heart of Amsterdam at Oudebrugsteeg 26, this new spot is already generating major buzz among flower fans and travelers alike. This isn't just another celebrity-branded shop; it represents the expansion of Snoop’s influence in a city that has long been the global gold standard for herb culture. This new opening follows the success of his initial Amsterdam storefront, which debuted in 2024. Interestingly, that first shop—originally known as SWED—had to navigate some tricky local regulations. The name was a nod to a famous rap lyric about daily consumption, but city officials eventually flagged it as an advertisement for cannabis, which isn't allowed under current rules. It’s a great reminder for anyone visiting that while Amsterdam is incredibly welcoming, the local laws regarding how businesses present themselves are quite specific and strictly enforced. Tha Dogg House took over the space formerly known as De Kroon, and the transition was celebrated with a massive celebration earlier this year. For enthusiasts, this expansion is fantastic news because it brings a touch of West Coast style to the classic Dutch coffee shop experience. If you’re planning a trip, definitely put this on your list. It’s situated in a high-traffic, central area, making it an easy stop between sightseeing or after catching a show at local venues like the Melkweg. When you visit, take a moment to appreciate the blend of international hip-hop influence and traditional European hospitality. Having a high-profile figure like Snoop invest so heavily in the physical space of Amsterdam’s cannabis scene helps keep the culture vibrant and globally connected. Whether you're looking for a comfortable place to relax or just want to see the latest evolution of the "Doggfather’s" empire, this new location offers a premium, welcoming atmosphere for every fan of the plant. < Previous Next > Recent Reviews Bomb Popz Infused Pre-Roll - Fade Co. - FDA Misses Deadline on Hemp Definitions, Drawing Cannabis Industry Criticism | Toker's Guide
The FDA missed a February 10 deadline to publish lists of known cannabinoids and define hemp containers, as required by recent appropriations legislation. This delay has prompted hemp stakeholders to call for a congressional extension of the current hemp policy before a new, more restrictive THC ban takes effect in November. < Back FDA Misses Deadline on Hemp Definitions, Drawing Cannabis Industry Criticism Feb 18, 2026 Source: Kyle Jaeger Marijuana Moment Article Link Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link The FDA just missed a major February deadline to clarify federal hemp rules, leaving the industry in a hazy spot. They were supposed to drop a list of known cannabinoids and officially define what counts as a product "container," but the clock ran out without a word. This technicality is actually a huge deal because a strict new THC ban is looming for November, which could effectively recriminalize many hemp-derived products we enjoy today. Stakeholders are now pushing Congress for an extension, arguing that the FDA’s foot-dragging proves there isn't enough time to build a fair regulatory system. From a community perspective, this is frustrating but typical. We need clear, science-based guidelines, not missed deadlines and sudden bans that threaten small businesses and consumer choice. For everyday tokers, this matters because it impacts the availability and legality of everything from CBD oils to hemp-derived edibles. Without a delay or better rules, your favorite local hemp shop could face a serious shutdown. Keeping the market accessible and safe requires transparency, and right now, the government is falling short. < Previous Next > Recent Reviews Bomb Popz Infused Pre-Roll - Fade Co. - The People Have Spoken: A New Study Shows Massive Support For Moving Cannabis Out Of Schedule I | Toker's Guide
Researchers from Johns Hopkins and UC San Diego analyzed over 40,000 public comments on the DEA's 2024 cannabis rescheduling proposal, finding that 92.4% of respondents support removing cannabis from Schedule I. The analysis revealed that a majority of commenters favor reforms even more significant than the proposed Schedule III reclassification, primarily citing therapeutic benefits and economic impacts. < Back The People Have Spoken: A New Study Shows Massive Support For Moving Cannabis Out Of Schedule I May 5, 2026 Source: TG Branfalt Ganjapreneur Article Link Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link It is officially time to celebrate a major shift in how our country views this incredible plant. A recent deep dive into public opinion has confirmed what we have known in our hearts for years: the vast majority of people are ready for the federal government to back off. Researchers from Johns Hopkins and UC San Diego recently sifted through a mountain of over 42,000 public comments submitted to the DEA, and the results are staggering. An overwhelming 92.4% of respondents explicitly demanded that cannabis be stripped of its Schedule I status. This massive wave of public feedback represents the largest collective voice we have ever seen in the history of federal cannabis policy. While the government proposed moving things to Schedule III, the data shows that nearly two-thirds of you actually want the feds to go even further. People aren't just looking for minor tweaks; they are calling for real, substantial reform. The primary drivers behind this movement are the undeniable medicinal benefits that help so many in our community find relief every single day. Others pointed to the massive economic boost and the common-sense need for clear regulations that keep everyone safe without the threat of outdated prohibition. For everyday enthusiasts, this news is a huge win for accessibility and culture. It proves that the "lazy" stereotypes are dead and buried, replaced by an engaged, passionate community that knows how to use the legal system to demand change. This groundswell of support is likely why we saw the recent move to reclassify certain products to Schedule III. As we look toward the administrative hearings set for June 2026, stay vocal! Your input is clearly being heard and measured. For those navigating the current landscape, keep supporting your local shops and stay educated on how these shifting federal rules might affect your local access. We are finally moving toward a future where our favorite flower is treated with the respect it deserves. < Previous Next > Recent Reviews Bomb Popz Infused Pre-Roll - Fade Co. - White House Withdraws Trump’s Drug Czar Nominee | Toker's Guide
White House Announces Withdrawal Of Trump’s Drug Czar Nominee Who Embraced Medical Marijuana < Back White House Withdraws Trump’s Drug Czar Nominee Jun 27, 2025 Source: Kyle Jaeger Marijuana Moment Article Link Facebook X (Twitter) WhatsApp LinkedIn Pinterest Copy link The White House has officially pulled the plug on Sara Carter’s nomination for National Drug Control Policy director, and it’s a bit of a bummer for the cannabis community. Carter was a rare pick from the current administration who had actually spoken up in favor of medical marijuana, calling it a "fantastic" option for patients in need. While it’s still a mystery whether she stepped down or was asked to leave, her exit leaves a big question mark over who will lead the federal government's drug strategy. This move matters because the "Drug Czar" holds a lot of power over how the administration views legalization and rescheduling. Losing a nominee who was open to reform—especially one who distinguished between regulated markets and illicit ones—is a missed opportunity for progress. For everyday tokers, this highlights the ongoing tug-of-war in D.C. between old-school prohibitionists and those ready to embrace common-sense cannabis laws. It's a reminder that even when we see a glimmer of hope in high places, the path to federal clarity remains a bit of a hazy trek. < Previous Next > Recent Reviews Bomb Popz Infused Pre-Roll - Fade Co.
