This strain has gained recognition in the cannabis community for its powerful effects and its success in professional competitions, such as the Emerald Cup.
Effects
Buckets is a high-potency, indica-dominant hybrid that initially provides a sharp, focused cerebral lift, boosting creativity and euphoria, making it suitable for social interaction or gaming. As the experience progresses, it transitions into a heavy physical relaxation that often leads to a blissful state of couch-lock, making it ideal for low-energy activities. This strain is frequently used to manage ailments such as chronic pain, stress, depression, and insomnia. Its complex terpene profile is led by caryophyllene, which offers spicy notes and anti-inflammatory benefits; limonene, which adds citrus brightness and aids in mood elevation; and myrcene, which enhances the strain's earthy aroma and sedative qualities. Together, these characteristics make Buckets a standout choice for those seeking both mental stimulation and deep physical relief.

A dense, sticky coating of crystalline trichomes covers the foliage, giving the nugs a frosted appearance that indicates high potency.
Aroma
This strain features a pungent and multifaceted scent dominated by heavy notes of diesel and skunk. This sharp chemical base is balanced by surprising aromatic layers of sweet brown sugar, earthy sage, and subtle tropical fruit.
Flavor
On the inhale, users typically experience a bold gasoline and skunk flavor. The exhale reveals a smoother, sweeter side with notes of syrupy sugar, spicy herbal undertones, and a lingering hint of sour banana cream.
Lineage
Buckets is most commonly a cross between Garlic Cookies (GMO) and Banana Punch. Some variations of the "Grease" lineage may also involve Gorilla Glue \#4 and Cookies & Cream, though the GMO x Banana Punch cross is the most widely recognized version.
