Overview
Dark Shadow Haze, crafted by the renowned Rare Dankness, is a compelling hybrid known for its balanced yet profound effects. It artfully blends the fruity, relaxing qualities of Grape Ape with the high-energy, cerebral punch of Nevil’s Wreck.
Effects
Dark Shadow Haze is an introspective hybrid that begins with a thought-provoking cerebral high, encouraging creativity and deep mental contemplation. As the experience progresses, its Grape Ape lineage introduces sedative properties that provide calming physical sensations, often leading to significant relaxation or couch-lock. This makes it ideal for low-energy activities, evening use, or creative sessions that require a still body. Its terpene profile is led by myrcene, which provides an herbal foundation for physical relaxation; terpinolene, which adds a cerebral lift; and caryophyllene and ocimene, which contribute to its spicy and sweet aromatic complexity. These effects make it particularly effective for managing stress and anxiety through its meditative mental state, while also addressing physical tension and inflammation.

Appearance
The plants typically produce dense, medium-to-large buds that often display deep purple and forest green hues, inherited from its Grape Ape lineage. A thick layer of sparkling white trichomes covers the flowers, complemented by thin, bright orange hairs.
Aroma
The scent is a complex mixture of sweet, sugary grapes and wild berries. This fruitiness is balanced by a pungent, earthy base and sharp notes of spicy incense and pine, characteristic of its Haze heritage.
Flavor
On the palate, it delivers a smooth burst of sweet grape and berry flavors. The exhale reveals a more grounded profile with undertones of rich earth, sandalwood, and a lingering herbal spiciness.
Lineage
This cultivar is a cross between the indica-dominant Grape Ape and the sativa-heavy Nevil’s Wreck (Arcata Trainwreck x Neville’s Haze). This combination results in a hybrid that offers a wide spectrum of effects from both sides of the cannabis family.
