Appearance
The buds of Durban Queen are typically elongated and dense, characteristic of its sativa lineage. They feature a bright, forest-green color accented by a thick coating of oversized, resinous trichomes that give the flower a frosty, shimmering appearance. Burnt-orange pistils wind through the foliage, adding a vibrant contrast to the crystalline buds.
Aroma
This strain emits a pungent and refreshing fragrance dominated by sharp citrus and sweet pine. Deep beneath the initial zest are notes of spicy black pepper and a subtle herbal earthiness, creating an aroma that is both uplifting and sophisticated.
Flavor
On the inhale, Durban Queen delivers a bright burst of candied lemon and orange peel. The exhale is smoother and more grounded, revealing woody undertones of cedar and a lingering spicy anise or licorice finish that coats the palate.
Lineage
Durban Queen is a specialized hybrid deeply rooted in the Durban Poison lineage, a pure sativa landrace from South Africa. While specific cross-breeding details can vary by breeder, it is designed to enhance the resin production and flavor complexity of the original African genetics while maintaining the signature energetic high.
