Overview
Kraken is a powerful indica-dominant hybrid known for its massive yields and intense potency. Developed by the Spanish breeder Buddha Seeds, this strain was engineered specifically for commercial-grade production and heavy-hitting effects, earning its name from the legendary sea monster.
Effects
Kraken is a powerful indica-dominant strain that delivers monstrous effects, beginning with an immediate wave of euphoria and mental haze that quickly transitions into a heavy, numbing body stone. This potent sedation results in very low energy levels, making it a favorite for evening or nighttime use. Its terpene profile is led by myrcene, which provides an earthy aroma and deep sedative properties; pinene, which adds a forest-like scent and a touch of mental clarity; and caryophyllene, which contributes a spicy kick and supports physical relaxation. Due to its intense potency and relaxing nature, Kraken is highly effective for managing ailments such as chronic pain, stress, and insomnia.

Appearance
Kraken produces remarkably dense, chunky buds that are typically large and heavy. The flowers are a deep forest green, often accented by dark orange pistils and encased in a thick, shimmering blanket of crystalline white resin that hints at its high cannabinoid content.
Aroma
The scent of Kraken is pungent and earthy, staying true to its indica roots. It features a heavy base of damp soil and musk, complemented by sharp notes of pine and a subtle, spicy undertone that becomes more apparent when the buds are broken apart.
Flavor
On the palate, Kraken delivers a robust and savory smoke. Users often report a dominant taste of nutty earth and woody pine, followed by a slightly sweet and herbal finish that lingers.
Lineage
While its exact genetic parentage is a closely guarded secret by Buddha Seeds, Kraken is a pure indica-leaning hybrid bred from high-performing Spanish landraces and select commercial cultivars. It was stabilized to maximize both growth speed and resin production.
