Canopy Growth has released its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, and the headline is growth across several parts of the business. Total net revenue rose 22%, with the biggest jump coming from international markets, where cannabis revenue climbed 141%. The company also reported 30% net revenue growth in its cannabis segment overall. Closer to home, Canadian sales moved up on both the medical and recreational sides. Canada medical cannabis revenue grew 18%, and Canada adult-use cannabis revenue grew 17%. Those domestic gains matter because the Canadian market has been competitive and crowded, so steady increases in both categories suggest the company is holding its own against many rivals. The international number is the standout, though a 141% increase can reflect a smaller starting base, so the percentage should be read in that context. Canopy Growth also said it is strengthening its end-to-end EU GMP supply chain. GMP, or good manufacturing practice, is a quality standard that is important for selling medical cannabis in Europe, where regulators and buyers expect strict documentation and consistency from producers. By tightening that supply chain from cultivation through finished product, the company is positioning itself to supply more international customers as demand grows. Taken together, the report points to a company leaning into export and medical markets while still growing at home. For cannabis consumers, results like these are one way to gauge how large Canadian producers are faring, and where they are putting their resources. Investors and industry watchers will likely look at whether the international momentum continues in coming quarters and whether the Canadian gains hold up as competition stays intense.
