Kentucky Grower Harvests State’s First Medical Cannabis Crop

Kentucky is finally seeing some green! The state’s very first medical marijuana crop has been harvested, marking a massive milestone for a program that’s been in the works since 2023. Governor Andy Beshear is leaning in hard, recently greenlighting Natural State GreenGrass CannaCo—a massive 25,000-square-foot facility—to ensure the market has plenty of supply.

Beyond just the harvest, Beshear is fighting for patient rights on the federal level, pushing for rescheduling and defending the Second Amendment rights of medical cardholders. He’s even waiving renewal fees to make things easier on the wallet.
