Trump Rejected What He Called a Half-Hearted Plan for Cannabis Rescheduling

Marijuana Moment
It sounds like the Oval Office got pretty heated during recent discussions about cannabis rescheduling. According to the CEO of ScottsMiracle-Gro, President Trump dismissed a plan to move marijuana to Schedule II, calling it a weak, "half-assed" compromise. Instead, he pushed for Schedule III, insisting it was either that or nothing. This intense session apparently lasted over two hours and was driven by the President's desire to see real progress after years of lobbying from industry leaders who warned that further delays would sink more businesses.
While this doesn’t mean full legalization is here yet, moving to Schedule III is a massive win for the culture. It officially recognizes the medical value of our favorite plant and clears the way for crucial research. For regular tokers, this is a huge step toward ending the stigma and fixing the broken tax laws that keep prices high and local shops struggling. It’s refreshing to see federal leaders finally acknowledging the reality that 39 states have already embraced, moving us closer to a fairer, more accessible market.
