Strain : Titan Express Dispensary : Grassroots   Market : Maryland Recreational Overall Rating : 8.9/10 Lean : Sativa Aroma One of the newest strains to come out of the Grassroots in-house breeding project is a freight train of cannabis excellence. Before the seal came all the way off, the strong terps were jumping out of the jar. For anyone who remembers Lemon Grenades or Memory Loss by Grassroots in the past, this is about as close as you can get. Each inhale gave a citrus-forward smell with a sharpness about every secondary note that was impossible to stop going back in for more. The familiar smell of lemon ice pops stood out to me the most, only existing for a moment before my nose was stung by a rubber cement and pine forest air freshener note that was too hard to ignore – largely attributed to the GMO driven Modified Muffins parent. After I pulled the buds apart for more inspection, the undeniable smell of citronella showed itself and the complexity just kept growing for this amazing cultivar.  Appearance The buds that I got in my jar were all substantial in size, with 4 total being in the 8th. As I’ve said before, I’m a fan of lighter trim work on the flower, subscribing fully to the mantra “it’s better to have it and not need it”. The flower in my Titan Express jar was exactly that. Some slight bract work was noticeable on the larger buds, but the sugar leaf that was left behind did an amazing job protecting the trichomes underneath and keeping all the good stuff intact. The flower itself also had a very responsive bounce back when squeezed and was a bit more on the spongy side than the dry side when it was grinded up. Because of its stickiness, it was extremely easy to roll into my joint and held its structure perfectly throughout the whole process.  Flavor Anyone looking for a full sativa experience from start to finish needs to get their ticket punched for the Titan Express. This strain radiated citric aromas, and the flavor takes that torch and carries it proudly. Every single note of flavor lead with a citric note and many of my exhales had a nice touch of honey flavoring to them that stuck around on my tongue long after I was done the joint. More subtle flavors of pepper, basil and gas were present, but all were overshadowed by the Citradelic Sunset parent – with a charred lemon peel influencing every other flavor and truly becoming the coal that powers the engine of flavor. (Yes, I’m going to beat this train analogy to smithereens, so what?) Lineage Titan Express is a cross of Citradelic Sunset RV06 and Modified Muffins # 10 that runs sativa dominant. Experience As anyone would expect, the majority of what I experienced from Titan Express was indicative of a sativa strain. With a rapid onset and mental/physical stimulation, I knew I was in for a treat about 10 minutes after I took my first pull. I could feel my legs becoming stimulated and my mind became laser focused on singular thoughts that felt meditative at times while I was up doing things. Seeing the high Terpinolene levels, I knew what I was in for but was happily surprised when things stayed smooth the entire duration of my high. Strain : GMO Dispensary : gLeaf Market : VA Medical Overall Rating : 8.8/10 Lean : Indica Dominant Initial Thoughts With enough of a garlic scent to keep a vampire away, this GMO is grown locally by premium cannabis cultivators, The Bank. Available from VA medical marijuana dispensary, gLeaf , GMO is so potent that you could string it up and wear it around your neck, or simply just light it up, to force the evil spirits away. 🧛‍♂️🧄 Appearance These buds have a funky structure, but are many shades of green, heavily covered in frosty trichomes, and have bright orange pistils. Status Fresh, but starting to cure. Aroma Pure and straight garlic scent. There’s no doubt that this is GMO. Flavor The garlic terps are instantly identifiable. It's one of the most interesting tastes in cannabis in my opinion and you either love it or hate it. Lineage The GMO strain is a cross of Chemdawg and Girl Scout Cookies that runs indica dominant. Effects GMO slowed everything down, especially my heart, each beat sending a calming pulse through my entire body. It ushered in a profound sense of relaxation, freeing me from all of my cares and worries. As the effects peaked, a gentle drowsiness washed over me, signaling that it was time to rest. Then GMO's sedating effects gently pulled me to sleep. Conclusion The funky and potent garlic terps on this batch of GMO are only a compliment to the 27% THC that this flower is packing. I always love having some GMO on hand too since its sedating properties are so powerful when I’m having trouble falling asleep. Flavor Very true to Haze form, this one is rich in terpinolene which helps create the mega fresh pine notes and mixes well with the lemon citrus across the palate. Effects Night Owl Haze left me in a slightly hazy, heady embrace, that induced a state of calm alertness without leaving my head spinning. This strain in particular is Banana Cream and I picked it up at RI SE in Lynchburg, VA. Up until recently gLeaf was the only supplier of rosin in the state and, without competition, that meant little to no improvement. Not only is this rosin cheaper, but it also may take the crown for best available concentrate in the state right now! 👑 Appearance Fresh looking doughy color where you can see the sweating terps on the surface. Status While I found a few specs of plant material that seemed to pass through the micron bag this rosin is still fresh and left my banger looking just as clean after a q-tip swab. Aroma This Banana Cream has a lemony and pine scent. Limonene terps are present but not overpowering. Flavor Creaminess intertwined with doughy notes while a lingering banana aftertaste followed each exhale. Lineage Banana OG is crossed with Cookies and Cream which results in an indica dominant strain leaning 70/30. Effects Banana Cream revealed effects that were both captivating and therapeutic. A substantial body high emerged, leaving a little tingle in my limbs. The head high was as equally pronounced and concentrated behind the eyes, but this heaviness in my head didn't impede my mental clarity.
