Initial Thoughts
With deep roots in cannabis culture, this batch of True OG from Cheeba DC is a superb example of the iconic strain - a strain with some controversy about its name. The story we hear from connoisseurs most frequently here at Toker's Guide is that the "OG" in OG Kush actually stands for "Ocean Grown". Others have argued that it's for "Original Ganster" - a reference to the LA hip-hop term - and "Over Grown" as a nod to overgrown . com which was a popular cannabis website that was shutdown long ago by Canadian authorities.
To me the Ocean Grown story makes the most sense because, at the time, there was some stiff competition in California between those growing in the mountains and those growing near the Ocean. When the guys near the shore started growing exceptional indoor many sought out this weed specifically and it became known more widely as Ocean Grown or O.G. For example: "Where's that Ocean Grown weed everybody's talking about? Show me the OG!"

Effects
I was initially surprised by how much of a focused indica this True OG is. It kept it easy to stay engaged all while providing a floating body high. It was really good for my pain too, and seemed to allow me to forget all about it while going about my day. I wasn't put on the couch instantly either, like so many indica's would, but there was a sleepy crash towards the end of the high. Great for chill afternoons and evenings.
Conclusion
There’s nothing that compares to smoking on some good ol' OG, and as it seems be an increasingly rare option, it's nice to have a taste of that wickedly delicious flavor again. Wherever it got its name and whatever it stands for, this True OG is true to the OG experience in both flavor and effects.
