- Basqui Gumbo - MASC
Initial Thoughts The latest and greatest offering from DC i-71 marijuana dispensary, MASC, is the Basqui Gumbo Strain. These buds immediately caught my eye due to their unique and rare red-hued appearance. Appearance The dominant feature was the striking red hue that adorned the buds, primarily due to the profusion of crimson pistils. This dominated the blend of dark and light greens underneath and was only superseded by a layer of lovely white and starry trichomes throughout. Status Fresh. Aroma Sweet and fruity scents. Flavor A spicy kick at first and then a seamless transition into creamy vanilla with a subtle berry-like finish. Lineage The Basqui Gumbo strain has unknown genetic origins, but from my experience it acts balanced like a 50/50 hybrid at first, and then devolves into a lazy, indica-like high after a while. Effects After smoking some Basqui Gumbo I found myself experiencing a rhythmic acceleration of my heartbeat that started to pulse through my body. A warmth descended upon my legs, imbuing them with a heaviness that was far from sedating. Instead, it provided a soothing and grounding presence, anchoring me in the present moment. Although my eyelids grew increasingly heavy, there was no overwhelming urge to seek rest. Probably still best left for late afternoon or early evening, though, given the highly relaxing nature. Conclusion This strain's ability to induce a rhythmic sense of calm combined with a medley of complex flavors, sets it apart as a noteworthy option for both seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers to the world of cannabis. So, before it's too late, head into MASC and pick up these or some of their other exotic designer buds today. Don’t forget to mention that Toker’s Guide sent you!
- Lemon Drip & Purple Candy Cane Live Resin Vape Pens - Puff Puff DC
Initial Thoughts These compact and discreet live resin disposable vapes are currently available at DC i-71 marijuana delivery service, Puff Puff DC. The hardware is a sleek white stick with a USB-C charging port on the bottom, which gives me peace of mind and solves my number one issue with disposables - keeping a charge. If you're looking for a vape pen that’s filled with a little more oomf than a standard distillate pen look no further than these bad boys right here. Appearance Despite being a disposable the pod is still visible and contains a golden semi-translucent resin. Status Fresh and charged. Aroma More scent to them than your standard distillate cart and not as discreet when it comes to smell. Flavor Lemon Drip has a citrus lemon and grapefruit taste. Purple Candy Cane has a candy-like, sugary, and slightly piny taste. Both options have more of a weed flavor as compared to the taste of ones with terpene fillers and distillate, but I think this makes them even more delicious. Lineage The Lemon Drip strain is a cross of Lemon Tree and Grease Monkey that leans sativa dominant. The Purple Candy Cane strain, in this case, is a cross of AK-47, Mango, and White Widow that was selected for its purple coloration and runs indica dominant. Effects Lemon Drip packs an immediate punch, hitting me right behind the eyes. I really enjoyed picking vegetables and checking on plants in my outdoor garden while mindlessly taking puffs. It was energetic and focusing, but also created a peaceful environment that allowed me to be totally absorbed and blissful in the moment. While the Lemon Drip was more of a head high, the Purple Candy Cane carried much more of a body buzz. Unlike its sativa counterpart, this indica buzz was heavy and calming. For those of you that like to sneak rips in the middle of the night, this indica option helped me easily fall back asleep as well. Perhaps the best part about both of them was that a single hit was often enough for me to get the desired effect. If, however, I was in the mood for a deeper experience, taking a few more puffs amplified the effects significantly. Conclusion Each of these live resin disposables represent a highly potent and flavorful vaping adventure. The effects are full spectrum and each "stick" encompasses the true terpene profiles of the plants making a complete, on-the-go experience. With the sativa one for the daytime and the indica one for night, they both hit the mark for me in their own respective way. Be sure to try these vapes out next time you place an order from Puff Puff DC and don't forget to mention that you heard about them on Toker’s Guide!
- Highness Tincture - Cheeba DC
Initial Thoughts DC i-71 marijuana dispensary, Cheeba, has been my go-to place for tinctures for a while now and I was excited to discover a local DC brand called Highness and their full-spectrum concentrate-based tincture there recently. This relatively new brand is committed to the highest quality cannabis, but they're also supporting impoverished communities in the District with their proceeds - and we love that. ❤️ Appearance A robust, opaque, dark green bottle with a graduated dropper and nearly translucent, slightly golden oil. The bottle contains 1000 mg THC. Flavor This tincture does have a slightly piny and floral cannabis flavor, but no burning sensation and no alcohol taste. Lineage Full spectrum concentrate made from a variety of strains. I would say that there isn't much of a skew to the mixture and that this is pretty balanced to slightly indica in nature. Effects About 45 minutes after taking a half dropper full of tincture under the tongue - which equates to 0.5mL containing about 10mg THC - I noticed that the onset of effects was blooming inside me. There's an indica-like body glow to it at first and a warm fuzzy feeling in the back and neck. As the high navigated to my head I felt my eyes go a bit squinty and a headband feeling started to encompass my brain. Relaxation was easy, but there was also some clarity to the high making focus for work no trouble at all. Also note that my knee pain and neck pain were completely dissolved from existence. Conclusion Overall, I was impressed with the quality, clarity, and overall balanced stance of this full-spectrum Highness tincture. We look forward to more products from them in the near future and give them props for their mission to help DC's poor and vulnerable. To help support the cause and experience this tincture for yourself just head to Cheeba DC today and don't forget to tell them you heard about it on Toker's Guide!

- Pink Guava - HYFE
Initial Thoughts This Pink Guava from DC i-71 marijuana delivery service, HYFE, instantly caught my attention with an intriguingly dense bud structure, obvious freshness, and fruity citrus aroma. As soon as I touched them these super sticky buds not only left behind gritty kief but also a residue that wanted to glue my fingers together immediately. 👌 Appearance These Pink Guava buds are dense with a vibrant palette of purple, blue, dark green, and light green. There are also lots of trichomes - many still starry - and bright orange pistils. Status Fresh and sticky. Aroma Notes of citrus and sour fruit intertwined. Flavor Sourness took the lead, accompanied by a bright citrus essence that added a layer of tartness and a subtle candy-like sweetness followed suit. Lineage The Pink Guava strain is a cross of Nepali Pink and Guava that results in a balanced 50/50 hybrid. Effects The effects wasted no time in making their presence felt, I found myself swept away into a world of daydreams with a subtle body buzz. Curiosity surged within me, prompting a desire for conversation and exploration. At one point, my inquisitiveness led me to ask my significant other one too many questions about the movie she was watching, which had me hastily ushered out of the room. Great for daytime, but may be slightly too energetic for late evening if you're looking to get some rest. Conclusion Pink Guava's ability to whisk your troubles away while creating an active mind and embracing you in a cozy body high makes it a perfectly balanced hybrid, in my opinion. The sour citrus flavor, potency, and stickiness mean it's delight to hit in the bong - expect a nice, uplifting head rush upon exhale too. In fact, the range of effects is so broad with this batch you might even say it encompasses the full rainbow...like a belt. 🌈🤓 Appearance Vivid blue-ish purple buds with flecks of green, lots of white trichomes, and fiery red pistils. - White Truffle - Juice'd
Initial Thoughts Truffles are a delicacy and are instantly thought of as high caliber in the culinary world. There are few fungi that beat them in terms of flavor and delectability. This stands true in the cannabis world as well and, for me, there are few that best the White Truffle cultivar. As luck may have it, there's an excellent batch currently available from DC i-71 marijuana delivery service, Juice’d. With an expansive selection to choose from and speedy delivery, the team over at Juice’d doesn't mess around when it comes to getting high quality buds straight to your doorstep - and this is another prime example. ✅ Appearance These spear-shaped buds are dense and primarily green with a heavy layer of frosty trichomes in every crevice. Status Fresh. Aroma Mild skunk and lemon notes right out of the pack with a funky, stanky, cheese-like aroma when broken up. Flavor There are levels to the flavor of this batch. It starts out as a buttery smooth skunky taste, but with each hit it became a bit more peppery with more and more notes of sour fruit. Exquisitely delicious the whole way through is how I would describe it overall. Lineage The White Truffle strain is a backcross phenotype of Gorilla Butter that leans indica dominant at around 70/30. In other words, it's a cross of Peanut Butter Breath and Gorilla Glue #4 that was then crossed with another Gorilla Butter pheno. Effects As I smoked my joint, time itself seemed to slow down, allowing me to savor each sensation, each thought, and each inhale. Giggles bubbled up from within, carrying with them an infectious light heartedness that brought a joyful bliss to the experience. The munchies, a quintessential quality of cannabis, beckoned me to embark on multiple journeys to my pantry. The world outside retreated, and not much seemed to bother me. Best for late afternoon or evening when you have nothing important to do. It's got a bursting citrus aroma that isn't too far from a bottle of orange Fanta. 🍊 Appearance These dense, light green, and trichome covered buds have brown pistils and are quite beefy in structure.
