Initial Thoughts
DC i-71 marijuana dispensary, Cheeba, has been my go-to place for tinctures for a while now and I was excited to discover a local DC brand called Highness and their full-spectrum concentrate-based tincture there recently. This relatively new brand is committed to the highest quality cannabis, but they're also supporting impoverished communities in the District with their proceeds - and we love that. ❤️
Appearance
A robust, opaque, dark green bottle with a graduated dropper and nearly translucent, slightly golden oil. The bottle contains 1000 mg THC.
Flavor
This tincture does have a slightly piny and floral cannabis flavor, but no burning sensation and no alcohol taste.
Lineage
Full spectrum concentrate made from a variety of strains. I would say that there isn't much of a skew to the mixture and that this is pretty balanced to slightly indica in nature.
Effects
About 45 minutes after taking a half dropper full of tincture under the tongue - which equates to 0.5mL containing about 10mg THC - I noticed that the onset of effects was blooming inside me. There's an indica-like body glow to it at first and a warm fuzzy feeling in the back and neck. As the high navigated to my head I felt my eyes go a bit squinty and a headband feeling started to encompass my brain. Relaxation was easy, but there was also some clarity to the high making focus for work no trouble at all. Also note that my knee pain and neck pain were completely dissolved from existence.
Conclusion
Overall, I was impressed with the quality, clarity, and overall balanced stance of this full-spectrum Highness tincture. We look forward to more products from them in the near future and give them props for their mission to help DC's poor and vulnerable.
