A 50/50 cross of Cherry OG and Turbo Diesel, this absolutely gorgeous specimen of Cherry Diesel is brought to you by DC medical marijuana dispensary, Herbal Alternatives. Bred by our favorite local medical cultivator, Alt. Sol., this is one of the best batches we've seen carried recently. Frankly, it was so spot in terms of effects and so righteously delicious it's been super difficult for me to pack or roll anything else since I got my hands on it.
Many times when you're presented with something of a "cherry" nature, it lets you down just a bit because it's not quite the level of cherry flavor that you're looking for. That is not the case here as the aroma will have you nose checking the jar to make sure you smelled the amazingness that you think you just smelled correctly. There are relatively strong notes of sour cherry, hints of lemon and lime, and, of course, a touch of that notorious gassed-up diesel fuel smell to boot.
It's SO fresh and sticky when you break it up, but it's so beautiful at the same time that you'll want to treat it like peeling off petals from a decorative flower. When you spark her up, it's the kind of inhalation experience that your lungs don't want to give up, at least until the tickle of the smoke's potency forces you to expel it in a cloud with a cough.
Yes folks this one is impeccably and impressively grown and running right in the middle of the sativa, indica ratio, there's a little something for everyone to try. That said, the real fans of this will probably be those sativa heads who want sativa influence, but with a little more mellow side than they might otherwise choose. The Diesel influence is highly evident, especially in the head-rush/head-band feeling that races upon you with first toke. You won't have any risk of couch lock with this strain, but the urge or need to do something is similarly absent.
Overall, I loved this bud. It's got the nose, the flavor, and the effects. Plus, just look at those stunning starry trichomes!
