Crippy by The Bank - gLeaf, Short Pump (VA Medical)

Strain: Crippy

Service: gLeaf - Short Pump, VA

Market: VA Medical Cannabis

Overall Rating: 8/10

Lean: Hybrid

Initial Thoughts:

Check out this Crippy flower grown by boutique cannabis cultivators, The Bank, and available from VA medical cannabis dispensary gLeaf in Short Pump, Virginia. This is my first time picking up flower by The Bank, but I was happy with my choice. They distribute it in glass jars, which play into the premium “Gold” level this is marketed at. A common complaint across the industry in Virginia is how the buds dry out since it takes the Board of Pharmacy forever to approve products. The glass jar used here is a decent solution to this challenge as it can help preserve freshness and terpene levels.

Appearance:

This Crippy is super frosty and the orange hairs really stand out on the bright green buds.

Structure:

These buds are super dense. There’s barely any give when I try to squeeze it between my fingers.

Status:

Fully cured, but note that The Bank also throws in a Boveda pack to help with humidity.

Aroma:

Earthy and reminiscent of a sweet springtime floral bouquet.

Flavor:

Earthy and floral much like the aroma. Every hit left a peppery aftertaste in my mouth that lingered for a while after smoking.

Lineage:

Crippy is a cross of Lemon Thai and Hindu Kush that is then crossed with Chemdawg.

Effects:

I would say this is a balanced hybrid with uplifting aspects. It gave me a lot of focus to help make my day quite productive, but also provided feelings of euphoria and an enhanced positive mood.

Conclusion:

I'll definitely be looking to pick up more strains by The Bank. Everything about their batch of Crippy impressed me from the pretty nugs and the 20%+ THC to the high terpene levels and, especially, the buzz. I’ve smoked Crippy before, but that was back when I was a Florida MMJ patient. Hopefully, now I will have regular access to it again and can plan to pick it up whenever it's in stock - and you can too. Don't forget to tell gLeaf you heard about it on Toker's Guide when you grab some for your own stash!
