Strain: Poonesia |

Market: Maryland Recreational |
Overall Rating: 9.2/10 |
Lean: Hybrid |
Initial Thoughts
Some strains we review once and move on. Poonesia earned a sequel. We first wrote up this CULTA original a while back (our first Poonesia review) - consider this part two: same island, new weather. We picked this jar up at CULTA Columbia. Pack accordingly; it's a direct flight, no layovers.

Appearance
Resin is the whole personality. The trichome coverage borders on vandalism - CULTA runs this strain through their concentrates line for a reason, and you can see the reason from across the room. Chunky, sticky, scissors-ruining nugs.
Status
Cured out, sticky in the jar.

Aroma
Gas first - a loud jar your car will remember - with a sweet, faintly tropical ripple underneath that earns the island name.
Flavor
The fuel leads and the fruit follows, with a finish that hangs around longer than most guests. Heavy smoke, but it stays smooth if you let it burn at its own pace.

Lineage
Poonesia is CULTA's own cross of two heavyweights:
• Poochie Love - the cushion: easy body, easy mood.
• Amnesia OG - the lights-on side, and a flower you'll recognize from elsewhere in this review batch.
Adaptable was our verdict the first time around, and the pairing explains why: stimulation upstairs, relaxation downstairs.
Effects
The Poochie Love side brings the cushion, the Amnesia OG side keeps the lights on. A fast, warm wave up front, then a long, heavy-limbed cruise at the island pace the name promised. This is high-THC flower and it behaves like it - not a beginner's ticket.

Conclusion
Part two, same verdict, louder jar. Poonesia remains one of the best arguments for CULTA's breeding room, and CULTA Columbia has it on the shelf. Book the return flight for tomorrow morning.
