Remedy - The Garden

Strain: Remedy

Service: The Garden

Service Type: DC Recreational Storefront

Overall Rating: 7.5/10

Lean: 75/25 Indica Heavy Hybrid

Initial Thoughts:

When I opened the jar of this Remedy from DC recreational (i-71) storefront, The Garden, the first thing noticed was the brightness of the green buds within followed by their deliciously piney scent. The freshness was clear and, as a fan of buds with Afghani traits, I was immediately psyched to give it a try - not to mention being in need of a "remedy" after the day I had.

Appearance:

The buds are fresh, bright green, and the hairs are mostly orange. Trichomes are still a bit twinkly.

Structure:

Round and dense, but with some fluffiness. Crisp on the outside, but spongey and still sticky on the inside.

Status:

Fresh, but beginning to cure.

Aroma:

Super piney with notes of sour lemon and musk.

Flavor:

Similar to the aroma, it was piney, but with more earthiness. Sour notes emerged on the aftertaste as well.

Lineage:

The Remedy strain is a cross of Cannatonic and Afghani Skunk that runs indica dominant at 75/25. Note that Remedy has typically been bred to carry a higher CBD level with THC limited to around 1%. However, this batch definitely carries a high THC level (probably somewhere in the upper teens or low twenties) and WILL induce psychoactive effects.

Effects:

Tremendously soothing and calming the indica presence is obvious. The body buzz is astounding and amounts to a pulsing glow of euphoria traveling around my body at random. There's some disorientation and my face and eyes feel heavy in a pleasant way. The cozy sedation and high medicinal value make it a great one for evening use.

Conclusion:

Overall, the three words that come to mind when considering my experience with this strain are medicated, mellow, and blissful. I was happy that it turned out to be not just CBD-oriented as I happen to like the psychoactive effects of THC and their influence on entourage effect. Yes, this appropriately named Remedy will fit nicely into the indica side of my stashbox and if you're in need of a remedy currently just head to The Garden and grab some for yourself. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
