Runtz, the now famous cross of Zkittles and Gelato, has been especially prevalent in its many forms here in the DC area recently. However, few versions have been as potent and aromatically delightful as this new hybrid Runtz strain known as Devine Runtz from DC recreational (i-71) delivery service, The Gift Givers. Worthy of its name for flavor alone, perhaps this is a sample of what the angels get at the heavenly dispensaries. 😇
It's aroma is sweet and skunky with candy-like fruity hues. It's also fresh and, in its similarly delectable flavor, seems almost juicy - the terps are flowing strong with this one. Roll it in a joint to get the most tanginess or throw it in the bong and be prepared for a blast of cerebral stoniness. There's even some debate about whether the name stems from the headband-like feeling it can create at initial onset. You know, like a halo? Be warned though: This may lead to pleasant coughs and permanent grins.
Compared to other versions of Runtz we've reviewed I'd say that this one is slightly more on the calming side of the energetic spectrum once the high sets in. While being social was no problem, I had little desire to leave my couch, and that's mostly because it felt so enjoyably relaxing. In fact, the euphoric body buzz this batch possesses - the kind that Runtz phenos are typically known for - is one that I would rate in my top 5 of the ~27 batches of Runtz we've reviewed.
