Initial Thoughts
At a recent evening party I broke out a few different varietals to roll up and let people try. I happened to have some of this Dorothy Pops by Terp Lords and currently available at DC i-71 dispensary, The Green Room, on hand and in a jar with a couple other types. When I cracked the jar its amazingly sweet, fruity, and grape bubblegum-like aroma had taken over everything. Even when you broke up the other types of buds separately they still had the remnants of "Dorothy's" distinct scent. I guess you could say the aroma really..."pops". 😂🤦♀️
Appearance
Darker green buds with lots of purple hued flecks and good trichome coverage.
Status
Curing, but the aroma is still quite fresh.
Aroma
Fruity, sweet, and slightly tangy with notes that are very similar to grape bubblegum.
Flavor
Fruity and sweet with hints of cream and earth.
Lineage
We're still looking for information on "Dorothy Pops" as a strain of cannabis flower, but it seems to be indica-leaning in nature.
Effects
This is a very intoxicating toke with a heavy, indica buzz that comes on slow with giggles and grins all around during the on-set. As the buzz grows it sets into all parts of your body and seems to move waves all the way out to your extremities. People who hit this joint at the aforementioned party were lively and talkative while standing at first, then talking more calmly with couch seats in hot demand. Finally, bewilderment set-in and many became silent and watched basketball with eyes half open. Somewhere along the way it even felt like many people were whisked away to the land of OZ in their mind.
Conclusion
Coming to as the party was winding down it became clear that even I "wasn't in Kansas anymore" with a strong sense of disorientation and body buzz still in tow. Then I realized there was only one thing left to do: click my heels together three times and say "there's no place like home, there's no place like home, there's no place like....". Before I knew it I was supremely cozy in my bed and the end of the party felt like it had all been a dream.
