These Black Runtz from DC recreational delivery service Buddha Buddy are so black they should probably be awarded a more appropriate name like Midnight. Grind it up and throw it in with another, predominantly green, strain and the contrast is quite striking. Don't be intimidated though, their buzz is mega stoney with a ton of relaxation built, or should I say baked, in. 🥧
It's a cross of Zkittlez and Gelato, just like other Runtz phenotypes, but with tangy, berry notes to go along with a skunky, gassy, more traditional Runtz flavor. In comparison to the very recently reviewed Obama Runtz, which happen to be very fruity, this version is more gassy and diesel forward. It's not sedating like the Obama pheno, but the buzz is highly euphoric and chill in nature - something like 60/40 indica-dominant if I had to guess.
Also note the heavy trichome coverage along with their sheer size. As a result, the terps are alive and well here and ready to barrel over your senses the second you open the jar.
