Initial Thoughts
GG#4 is one of my favorite strains for a number of reasons so when I heard about the new Zip-It strain harvest from DC craft cultivator, Alternative Solutions' (Alt Sol), having GG in the mix I just had to check it out. And I'm very glad I did - these are some STUNNINGLY beautiful buds. 🤩
Appearance
Fluffy, spear-shaped buds that are olive green and incredibly frosty with white and starry trichomes galore.
Status
Fresh, but starting to age.
Aroma
The aroma was a bit light on this one, which was surprising given the beauty, but smelled of wild flowers, cheese, and pine.
Flavor
Super smooth with floral notes and hints of pine and cream.
Lineage
The Zip-It strain is (Do-Si-Dos x GG4) x Cherry Chem and we feel it runs indica dominant.
Effects
The effects are highly cerebral, but sedating with a calm euphoria and a body high that comes in waves. While the extremities tingle in a warm glow the head is adrift in a tranquil space. I didn't experience couch-lock in the traditional sense - I was still able to stay awake. But, the spaciness and comfort level combine to make relaxation come with ease. Also notable are the powerful, relentless munchies and the innate ability to dry out my sinuses.
Conclusion
Though we would have liked to see a little more nose on it, this Zip-It had some intriguing effects that enabled next level introspection and relaxation. Rolled in a joint it also gets a nice hashy flavor that I thoroughly enjoyed and the burn is extremely smooth.
