- Black Runtz - All American Papers
If you've tried all the other colors of Runtz, but not the Black Runtz, now's your chance to add it to your strain tracker. Doesn't everyone have a strain tracker? Anyhow, this batch is from DC recreational (i-71) storefront All American Papers and it's got some intensely dark coloration along with one of the most pungent Runtz aromas around. Also note the heavy trichomes which, even though they're a bit oxidized, still indicate the quality of the genetics. While these buds are served in jars and their aroma and flavor are intact, I'd say their current status is "cured" as opposed to fresh. By the way, that aroma is a potent amalgamation of fruity, skunky, creamy and nutty. Roll this one in a joint and the intensity of the aroma and flavor go up a notch, seemingly infused by a gassy/petro essence. In any case, it makes for a great euphoric high that will hang with the best of other Runtz batches and colors. An indica dominant hybrid cross of Zkittlez and Gelato strains, Runtz is commonly known for the aforementioned euphoric high or body "glow" and can bring a supremely stoney level of sedation with each session. The "Black" version, like the other colors, is just another phenotype selectively bred to have slightly different qualities in flavor, effect, and, of course, coloration. So head to one of the four All American Papers storefronts in DC today and grab some of these Black Runtz for your own collection. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
- Platinum Ice - Green Light DC
A cross of Platinum OG and Ice, this is some super rare and highly exotic indoor from DC recreational (i-71) storefront, Green Light DC. It runs on the indica side given the heavy OG Kush presence and despite the balanced nature of the Ice genetics. What's most notable about this batch is its intensely pungent aroma, which is kept intact by great packaging and a tight seal. As soon as you crack it open, though, be ready for everyone around you to know what you have in tow. ⛽️ This one's petro-fueled and overtly skunky aroma is in your face from the start for sure. People might be like, "Hey do you have a gas station in your backyard now or something?" And with the price of gas these days you don't want to give those kind of false impressions, ya know? Note that there are also hints of pepper, pine, and, perhaps, a smidge of sour cherry in there as well. Wether bong or papers, the flavor easily transcends any medium and the effects go immediately to your frontal lobe. It's also highly potent, so expect to choke up a bit on the first few hits. With each exhale the body buzz became noticeably stronger for me and the sedative aspect was so intense I found myself in near paralysis while coming back from being lost in thought for a few minutes. Was it just a few minutes? It's almost like my brain was on...Ice. 😂🤦♂️ So go check out DC storefront Green Light and all their awesome gift items along with this Platinum Ice flower. - OG Kush Breath - High There DC
Greetings and happy Friday to everyone! Check out this batch of OG Kush Breath that just dropped from DC recreational (i-71) delivery maestros, High There. These buds are beefy and dense with fresh trichomes strewn all over. The real joy comes when you break one open to find the super lime green and twinkly inside - glorious! 🤗 Thought to be an offshoot of the Girl Scout Cookies strain, this is most likely a Durban Poison and OG Kush cross bred to be even more indica than you might otherwise find with some classic GSC. The mind bending, hazy, and kush-like effects along with a heavy full-body euphoria make this a fantastic weekend chill-out strain. When you first smell it in a jar you'll get a ton of piney "OG" essence, but as you keep wafting it in there are notes of vanilla, nutmeg, skunk, and a tinge of berry. It also rolls really nice and has an exquisitely delicious flavor very similar to the aroma. Is it savory? Is it sweet? It was hard to get a consensus, but regardless, the flavor got high marks all around. So hit up High There DC today and grab some of this OG Kush Breath to help stock the indica side of your stash box for the weekend ahead. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
- Do-Si-Dos - DC Dash
Do you see all those hyper-white and starry trichomes running throughout all the buds in the pictures below? These help indicate not only the freshness of this batch of Do-Si-Dos from DC recreational ( i-71) delivery pro's DC Dash, but also the potency it possesses. To the Toker team, and the eye of any cannabis connoisseur, it's clear this is some fire, even at first glance. The aroma, which may catch your fancy far before you lay eyes on her, is one of sweet, but skunky pine forest. It's almost like an OG in nose and flavor, but there's something extra bready or cakey about it that gets stronger in the after taste. I guess some would say that's the peanut butter aspect hitting the palate, but I get more coffee cake than peanut. Either way, roll this one up to get the fully inundating effect of its flavor in combination with its super stoney, totally relaxing high. An indica dominant hybrid cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Face Off OG that runs something like 70/30 on the indica/sativa scale, to say this one has euphorically sedative qualities would be an understatement. Perfect for evening consumption, this is your heavy-hitter that will make all the pains and stresses of your day vanish in a heartbeat. Which is about how long the cookies by the same name last in my household when they come around. 🤤 So schedule your delivery appointment with DC Dash today and grab some of this phenomenal Do-Si-Dos flower for your own stash. - Dosilato - Buddha Buddy
Just because a bud comes to you a bit more compressed than it should be doesn't mean that it can't be great bud. Check out this Dosilato from DC recreational (i-71) delivery service, Buddha Buddy, for example. It's clearly a bit too compressed from storage, but its great gassy gelato nose is still intact. Sometimes this is the trade off in the summer time with indoor bud - appearances are given less weight than aroma and flavor. Easy to grind up and fantastic in a joint, you have to roll this one up to thoroughly enjoy all the flavor it holds. An indica leaning hybrid cross of Do-Si-Dos and Gelato #41, it's got notes of gas, skunk, cream, and a nuttiness that is super exotic. When it comes to effects this batch can drive a highly cerebral sense of euphoria that melds and morphs into a body buzz over time - like most good Gelato's. It's also got an overpowering sense of relaxation stemming from the Do-Si-Dos heavily sedative influence. While some on the team have pushed this firmly into the nighttime-only category - and it's certainly one that has been great for sleep imo - I also found it super enjoyable before laying out at the pool and catching some rays. In this case though, you may have to accept the possibility of waking up in a puddle of your own drool with toddlers staring at you in confusion. What, they've never seen a grown man drool before? Come on! 😂 So hit up zen masters Buddha Buddy DC today and catch a delivery of this Dosilato for yourself. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
- Black Cherry Gelato - Top Level DC
An indica dominant hybrid cross of Black Cherry Funk and Acai strains, this Black Cherry Gelato is currently available from DC i-71 storefront Top Level DC. Wafting its aroma from the spacey looking jars that Top Level deploys with their gifts, this one definitely has that prototypical Gelato smell - one of creamy, gassy, and chocolate all combined. There are a good amount of trichomes layered across these buds and the texture is still soft and pliable making it great for rolling material. We do prefer rolling this one up in a joint or blunt as we've (the Toker crew) found it to have a smooth toke and highly exotic aftertaste in-line with other solid Gelato experiences. In terms of effects, expect a great body buzz and a feeling of calm to overtake you. I did get the sense that this was a bit more sedative than the last few Gelato styles I've had around, but the couch lock wasn't insurmountable. Nevertheless, it's probably much better for the nighttime in my opinion. To experience a tasty Gelato treat with soothing, euphoric, indica feels just head over to DC recreational (i-71) storefront, Top Level DC today. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
- Zkittles - District Derp
With a tangy mixture of lime and cherry backed by skunky undertones, this is some incredibly pungent Zkittles now available from DC recreational (i-71) delivery service, District Derp. This is a "must roll" exotic in our book and when ground and toasted properly it can deliver what seems like a whole rainbow of funky fruity vibes. So come on and taste this rainbow - It IS pride month after all! 🌈😤 A couple of the buds even had an array of colors, much like a rainbow, with blues, purples, and bright greens. Of course, the trichome coverage was also fantastic and mostly frosty. If you break these buds down by hand definitely expect a healthy amount of kief to be left on your rolling tray. Pro tip: pick up a grinder with a fine screen in the bottom for collecting the beautiful fallen trichomes every time you grind up some fire like this. This mostly indica varietal (70/30) is a cross of classic fruit forward strains Grape Ape and Grapefruit that will give you a range of good feels from a stout head buzz to a warm and relaxing body-coating euphoria. It's easy to see why this strain won the coveted Cannabis Cup for Best Indica in 2015, and this is certainly an exemplary batch. To grab some Zkittles for yourself and share the rainbow with everyone (or whomever you choose) this Pride Month, just hit up our favorite pup art delivery service, District Derp, ASAP. - Dosi Fire - Elevated Lounge
Check out this appropriately named Dosi Fire now available from DC recreational (i-71) storefront Elevated Lounge. By the way, not only are "Elevated" one of the best customer experiences around, they're also doing their part to help great causes and charities. For Pride Month they're supporting youth LGTBQ nonprofit group SMYAL. 🌈 Did you know that in Washington DC nearly 40% of homeless youth identify as LGTBQ? SMYAL is the largest LGTBQ youth housing provider in the DMV region. This is really important work and to help support their efforts right now you can add-on a $10 donation at Elevated Lounge and receive a 100mg gift. Learn more about SMYAL and the benevolent work they do at https://smyal.org. While you're there definitely grab some of this Dosi Fire as well. A cross of Do-Si-Dos and Fire OG that runs indica heavy at roughly 70/30, this batch is the finest example of this rare and exotic strain that i've ever seen. It's nose is sour, sweet, citrusy, and mint, with a hint of skunk. In flavor, however, there's a kushy, hashy, earthiness that if you think hard enough kind of resembles some extra crunchy peanut butter - that's gotta be the Dos-Si-Dos influence. The consensus is that this one tokes best when ripped in the bong. Any way you partake, though, the smoke is smooth and the exhale can immediately take what seems like a load of rocks off your back. This is the rapid onset of its mellow and highly euphoric effects, and a testament to the staggering potency as well. So head on over to DC storefront Elevated Lounge today and grab some of this Dosi Fire for your own collection. Don't forget your $10 donation to support SMYAL and for your 100mg gift. You can tell them Toker's Guide sent you for even more surprises!
- Hindu Kush - No Kids Allowed
As one of my favorite old school indica's this batch of Hindu Kush from DC recreational (i-71) storefront No Kids Allowed was on my radar immediately, and I just had to review it. I've been let down chasing quality "Hindu" flower around town before, but given NKA's reputation I was confident this time would be different. At first glance, It's hard not to notice the white and starry trichomes mixed in super plentiful numbers across all the buds in the pack. Giving it a squeeze you can get an idea of its beefy denseness and sweet but hashy aroma - both signs of a decadent kush. Finally some quality Hindu Kush - Huzzah! With immensely heavy and euphorically relaxing effects this is the perfect bud for a lazy rainy day, or when you need to crash but maybe had one too many espressos. In the past it's been a tremendous benefit when I've needed some serious healing time. Nothing helps you Rest, Ice, Compress, and Elevate (R.I.C.E.) to address an injury quite like the blissful stoniness of some Kush. Note I've also successfully nursed more than a few hangovers with it too. A landrace strain originating from the Hindu Kush mountains of the Himalayan range, this strain has been cherished across its thousand plus years of evolution and cultivation. The harsh environment it's indigenous to has made it hearty and durable as well as intensely potent. When you roll her up in a joint and partake in her splendor, give pause and imagine yourself on a mountain vista high in the Himalaya's with not a care in the world. This is how it was originally meant to be enjoyed. To take your own journey with this mesmerizing Hindu Kush just head over to DC recreational (i-71) storefront No Kids Allowed today. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you! Namaste.
- Super Lemon Cherry - Cannabear
At Toker's Guide it's our mission to keep you informed of the best, and only the best, cannabis gifts and products from all around Washington DC. Therefore, when we saw the word "Super" in front of "Lemon Cherry" on DC recreational (i-71) delivery service Cannabear's menu recently we felt immediately obligated to inspect. Would this be worthy of "Super" in the name? Does Superman wear a red cape? There were already some questions regarding the lineage of the standard Lemon Cherry Gelato (LCG) strain, but with the addition of the "Super" aspect it's now even more shrouded in mystery. What we're fairly confident of is that Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies, which typically combine with a third unknown strain to make LCG, are somewhere in the family tree. This batch has an aroma that is very sugary and bready with a sour lemon essence, as well. If that doesn't sound like it could possibly be appealing to you in a flower then I encourage you to try it, before you knock it. With eyes closed, It definitely reminds me of lemon poppy seed muffins, but perhaps the whole grain version you might find at a natural food store. Though the aroma and buzz are deliciously intoxicating, with both being long in duration, what I like most about burning down on this strain is the aftertaste upon exhale. There's a gush of cake, cherries, lemons, and pine nuts that pairs fantastically with the ensuing head rush. This flavor is so powerful it has a tendency to stay with you as you go about your day - and note that you'll be able to with creative mental energy and a relaxed, but not drowsy, physical state. So hit up DC delivery service Cannabear ASAP and grab some of this Super "Duper" Lemon Cherry for yourself. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
- Durban Poison - The Gift Givers
Happy Hump Day! Need a little extra oomph to help get you through the rest of the week? Check out this incredible batch of mega potent Durban Poison from DC recreational delivery service, The Gift Givers. A full on sativa grown to the absolute maximum, this one might as well have "adrenaline" written on the outside of the pack. Piney and sweet with a hint of tea, the aroma is quite addictive, but not as skunky or pungent as the kind that might alert everyone in your neighborhood to its presence. The flavor is similarly sweet and exotic, but slightly hashy, and translates well into some wonderfully smooth bong hits (ice in the ice-catcher recommended as well). Clearly the result of an advanced hydroponic grow, we give props to the cultivators on this harvest. The insane amount of trichomes may be the most we've ever seen on a Durban cut and the bracts are fully mature. This is without mentioning the gorgeous coloration, replete with deep purples and blues. Totally a head turner if you're looking for something to impress your friends at show and tell (the adult kind - must be 21!) 🤩. As soon as you exhale the rush to your head is palpable and trance inducing. Moments later a warm and tingly glow begins to pulsate as the buzz inundates your whole body. You may then feel like a million things have just become possible, or that your previously insurmountable to-do list is now as good as done. The creative, energetic mind-space is just one of the hallmarks of this great landrace sativa. If you're not familiar with Durban Poison or sativa's in general you'll want to take it slow as it can lead to some pretty intense feelings if you go "one toke over the line". Nevertheless, there's a reason that legendary cannabis activist Ed Rosenthal brought it back to the United States from South Africa in the 1970's - and that's simply because it's awesome. To grab some of this phenomenal Durban Poison just hit up DC delivery gurus The Gift Givers ASAP. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
- Dessert Runtz - Green Light DC
A cross between Cookies & Cream and Runtz, this slightly indica leaning (60/40) batch of fire from DC i-71 storefront Green Light DC has a comfy cozy, but not too drowsy high. She also possesses a mouthwatering flavor profile that's eerily reminiscent of some classic Girl Scout Cookies strain. More specifically, the nose is a cross between skunky and bready and these pass through to the flavor with the addition of a sweet caramel-like after taste. No wonder this has Dessert in the name, you might even begin to think there are tiny particles of sugary frosting coating her, and we say there might as well be - delicious! Even though it's still quite sticky, we enjoyed rolling this up just slightly more than hitting it in the bong. This is because it seemed to present the smoothest and most flavorful in a paper while losing a touch of this joy when percolated through water. It also proved a very social smoke for an indica and communication skills were only hindered slightly by the potency of the buzz. Still, it's probably best to leave this one for the evening, where you should easily find a great night's rest with her euphoric effects in tow. So head on over to DC storefront Green Light ASAP and grab some of these Dessert Runtz to serve as your own after dinner delight. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
