  • Wedding Nerdz - Euphoria DC

If you haven't had a chance to check out Euphoria DC they're a healing and wellness spa and i-71 storefront that gifts their clients fine cannabis while offering a full range of spa-oriented services. Wether it's rest, restoration, or repair you're after they've got that and your next great toke covered! Take these Wedding Nerdz for example. They're fresh, highly pungent, and they've got that exotic flavor I'm definitely looking to roll up. A massage and and a pre-roll of fire - yes please! Needless to say I'll be stopping by to this wonderful oasis more frequently. While the hyper-white trichomes of this sample weren't stacked as high as some we've recently reviewed, what this bud might lack in resin gland coverage it more than makes up for in all the other categories: aroma, flavor, terpene levels, and potency. You should probably even underline some of the above to emphasize the quality. The flavor complexity alone is worthy of any designer label and the powerfully stoney high was significant in duration and intensity. For me, it also created an inner sense of joy and I caught myself acting a bit more whimsical. I'm not sure where they got the "nerdz" part from, but perhaps it had something to do with an increased ability to geek out on topics that would be of little comedic value otherwise. 🤓 A cross of Barney's Farm's Grape Ape and Strawberry Cough, this one runs an even and balanced 50/50 on the indica/sativa spectrum and I do believe you get the best of both sides in this offshoot - not always the case. Personally, I found it very relaxing with palpable buzzes in both the frontal lobe and throughout my body. I also found enough energy and clarity to write this review, a testament to the sativa portion of this batch's lineage. So if you're in need of some serious R&R and restorative vibes, check out Euphoria DC's full range of healing & wellness services and grab some of these delectable Wedding Nerdz for your stash as well. • Orange Tree - Buddha Buddy DC

If you like citrus forward flower this Orange Tree from our friends over at DC i-71 delivery service Buddha Buddy DC is one of the most pungent we've ever found. I've come across Tangie cuts and crossbreeds that have a similar tangerine lean to them, but the back side of the aroma is an exotic gassy-ness - presumably from the OG influence. To share a fun comment from a friend, "I've never smelled something so orange that looked so purple." 🤔😂 Good luck containing the smell too - your whole street is going to know that you have some fire so be prepared for inquiries. On the flavor front, I thought I sensed some gelato given the funky/creamy/skunky aftertaste, yet there's none in the lineage. Speaking of genetics and background, this is a cross breed of flavor house Orange Valley OG and designer gem 24K Gold strains. It's known to run 60/40, indica heavy and this batch is spot on. The immediate rush after exhaling a hit is remarkable and makes you want to close your eyes to soak it all in. Soon that rush extends to the rest of your body and out to the reaches of your extremities. The OG and indica influence definitely shine through with the eventual buzz being highly euphoric and with a stoney mental haze. For something uniquely exotic in both appearance and intense citrus aroma/flavor hit up Buddha Buddy DC ASAP and grab some of this epic Orange Tree strain for yourself. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you for something special!

  • RS 11 - Elevated Lounge DC

Previously ONLY available in Cannahiba Cannon Pre-roll (as reported in our Halloween edition of Toker Vision), Elevated Lounge DC now has this Rainbow Sherbert 11 (aka RS 11) in flower form! This is one of the best harvests I've seen this year so far and the RS came out absolutely superb! It's fresh and sticky trichome coverage should be the first indication of it's outstanding quality. I mean these resin glands are so overboard it looks like they were thrown on with buckets. The aroma is spectacularly sweet, exotically cakey, and with just a slight hint of fruit. In flavor, perhaps the most astounding aspect of this bud, there's an amalgamation of both creamy and skunkyness that will make you want to hit it again just to try to discern exactly what the amazing flavor was. The term "Rainbow" absolutely applies - there's a widely diverse array of colors, especially different hues of purple. If you look close enough you can even see pinks, blues, and aquamarine. It's sort of like the crayon box of cultivars. Zoom in and the trichome structures become even more impressive. Below you can see their layers, how they are more organized than the appeared to the naked eye, and their heavy contrast to the deep purples. Though you might see this as a cross of Champagne and Blackberry strains online, the Doja creation that lead to this (and the actual) RS 11 is a cross of Gelato, Rainbow Sherbert, Skittlez, and OG kush. As a result she runs just a bit more indica than the 50/50 you might hear of with other Rainbow Sherbert cuts - prob something like 60/40 indica-heavy. Note that I did find it to be a very stoning, mega relaxing, and highly enjoyable high with little to know sedation. I'm not sure what the potency on it is, but let's just say that it definitely outshined most of my jar of personal bud once thrown into the mix. To enjoy this very rarely available, phenomenal treat hit up Elevated Lounge DC today and grab a bag, or a few, for yourself! Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you for your special bonus!

  • Apple Fritter - DC Dash

Top of the morning tokers! Wanted to draw your attention, if I may, to a batch of Apple Fritter that just landed at i-71 delivery phenoms DC Dash. A frequent recipient of accolades and awards back in 2016 (High Times Strongest Strain List, Nor Cal Medical Cannabis Cup 2nd Place for Hybrid Flower, etc.) the strain is consistently found to be one of the strongest in the world, often running in the 28-32% THC range. She's a cross of Sour Diesel crossbreed Sour Apple (another one of my favs) and Animal Cookies. This yields what many call a 50/50 hybrid, but what I say leans more toward the sativa end of the spectrum. There's certainly a "driving" and persistent nature to the high and it's one with great mental and physical energy throughout. Yet, the potency levels and GSC influence mean that it brings an incredibly strong body buzz as well. Back in the day we used to roll up sour diesel and GSC together to get the nice cross buzz going. Apple Fritter is basically that, but all in one package. For all these reasons, this is a top cultivar on my running list, and I seek it out whenever available. This particular batch, while a little more pressed from packaging than preferred, cracks open like a geode revealing some incredible crystalline trichome structures and, of course, a waft of its mega pungent aroma. With notes of sour fruit, fresh ground coffee, and diesel-like gassiness, its an olfactory joyride to grind up this bud - or just to open the pack for that matter. The smoke is great, but note some harshness is unavoidable given the potency. Therefore, I like to throw this in a nice icy cold bong to minimize the harshness and maximize the flavor profile. Either way, you will likely cough when you hit this - now you can't say I didn't warn you! To get your hands on some of this Apple Fritter give DC Dash a shout today. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you for 15% off your order (with promo code "TOKERS")!

  • Grandma's Pie - House of Herbs

Grandma's Pie, always a treat to toke upon, is some currently available designer flower from DC i-71 storefront House of Herbs. Very similar to Grandma's Batch, but with a bit more of a fruit forward stance in the "pie", this one runs roughly 50/50 on the indica/sativa ratio. The aroma is what will first grab ahold of a connoisseur's attention - there's a whole lot of skunk influence in this pie, and now it's influencing seemingly every particle of air in my office. Peering down into the bag - probably (now) with giddy delight - your anticipation will be rewarded as you're greeted by a slathering of healthy white trichomes and numerous flecks of lavender strewn across a sea of minty green. As you grasp a nug, it will invariably stick given the freshness retained, but also the newness of this harvest. Upon inhale note the skunkyness rolls into savory cookie-esque notes and then finally, on exhale, the berry flavor comes out just as a head rush hits what feels like your frontal lobe. Pro tip: Sip some cold water upon both inhale and exhale and the flavors, especially the fruity ones, will become even more pronounced. To get some of this delightfully complex and delectable Grandma's Pie strain, head over to one of the top DC storefronts, House of Herbs. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you for a free pre-roll with your order!

  • Cherry Diesel - Herbal Alternatives

A 50/50 cross of Cherry OG and Turbo Diesel, this absolutely gorgeous specimen of Cherry Diesel is brought to you by DC medical marijuana dispensary, Herbal Alternatives. Bred by our favorite local medical cultivator, Alt. Sol., this is one of the best batches we've seen carried recently. Frankly, it was so spot in terms of effects and so righteously delicious it's been super difficult for me to pack or roll anything else since I got my hands on it. Many times when you're presented with something of a "cherry" nature, it lets you down just a bit because it's not quite the level of cherry flavor that you're looking for. That is not the case here as the aroma will have you nose checking the jar to make sure you smelled the amazingness that you think you just smelled correctly. There are relatively strong notes of sour cherry, hints of lemon and lime, and, of course, a touch of that notorious gassed-up diesel fuel smell to boot. It's SO fresh and sticky when you break it up, but it's so beautiful at the same time that you'll want to treat it like peeling off petals from a decorative flower. When you spark her up, it's the kind of inhalation experience that your lungs don't want to give up, at least until the tickle of the smoke's potency forces you to expel it in a cloud with a cough. Yes folks this one is impeccably and impressively grown and running right in the middle of the sativa, indica ratio, there's a little something for everyone to try. That said, the real fans of this will probably be those sativa heads who want sativa influence, but with a little more mellow side than they might otherwise choose. The Diesel influence is highly evident, especially in the head-rush/head-band feeling that races upon you with first toke. You won't have any risk of couch lock with this strain, but the urge or need to do something is similarly absent. Overall, I loved this bud. It's got the nose, the flavor, and the effects. Plus, just look at those stunning starry trichomes! To get some for yourself grab your medical marijuana card (from any state - full reciprocity in DC) and head to Herbal Alternatives ASAP. • Pineapple Sorbet - Beyond / Hello (Sterling, VA)

Conveniently located in Nokes Plaza of Sterling, VA, Beyond/Hello (a Jushi brand) is the newest addition available to NOVA medical marijuana patients looking for quality cannabis. There is an on-site pharmacist for complimentary, appointment-only consultations to answer all your questions and introduce new patients to the growing variety of products. Not looking to wait to enter the sales floor? They also have a quick and easy pick-up service with tons of parking and several 2-hour delivery window time slots to choose from, which is super convenient if you live in the Dulles and surrounding area. On my latest trip to Beyond/Hello, I wanted to try something new, so I picked up some Pineapple Sorbet. This Sativa, cultivated by SEED & STRAIN, gave me more of a Sativa Dominant Hybrid vibe than a Straight Sativa. It had all the great benefits from a solid Sativa. There was an instant head high, giving me a slight tingle in my face, which quickly wore off and left me with a burst of creative energy. The more I smoked the Pineapple Sorbet, the more it felt like a Hybrid due to the pain relief I felt, specifically of the pain in my joints due to inflammation. The experience was soothing and relaxing without being sedative. These effects could also be due to the high Myrcene content at 1.02%. That Myrcene content is most certainly the source of its complex earthy scent as well. There are also notes of white pepper on the inhale, and mango skin on the exhale, with a sprinkle of garlic powder all around. Post-sesh, a light lingering of allspice remained on the palate and in the air. I'm glad I took the gamble on this strain, and it will definitely be a repeat purchase of mine. Want some of your own? Take your VA MMJ card and recommendation with ID over to Beyond/Hello in Sterling, VA and let them know you heard about them on Toker’s Guide!

  • Purple Pineapple - Beyond / Hello (Manassas, VA)

When you first open a container and take that classic wine sniff of this Purple Pineapple from Virginia medical marijuana dispensary, Beyond / Hello you get a an exotic, woody scent with fruity notes that are reminiscent of the tropics. This fruitiness comes out even more in the smoke, showcasing the star-studded heritage and high-terpene stance of this super enjoyable strain. A sativa-dominant hybrid created by crossing the classic Pineapple Express and Purps, I must say I was a little disappointed in its appearance at first. It had smaller buds and the color seemed inconsistent at best, but that’s about all the bad news there was. What it lacked in aesthetics it more than made up for in flavor and effects, and speaking of those effects, this bud really shined when it came to its sativa leaning high. As someone who has ADHD as well as other needs for medical cannabis, this strain is perfect for me. It’s not going to give you that get up and go, run-a-marathon kind of energy, but it will keep your mind focused and on task, and the rest of you relaxed and at ease. I would say the possible cons of this strain are the mild dry mouth - pretty standard for the territory - and although Humulene (thought to suppress appetite) is one of it’s predominant terpenes, the munchies are still inevitable. (Predominant Terpene Profile: Caryophyllene, Humulene, and Limonene) Testing at a THC level of about 16%, it’s a little light for those seasoned tokers looking for higher potency, but a nice level for someone who hasn't had as much exposure to sativa's. I would suggest total newcomers take a few hits and wait and see how you feel before continuing on a longer session, though, as mild anxiety can commonly occur with over indulgence of the sativa-heavy varieties. Overall, I would highly recommend this strain for MMJ patients who suffer from ADHD, depression, or anyone looking for an uplifting high with the unlikely but welcomed additional benefit of pain relief. Personally, I really liked how it allowed me to focus and get tasks done while also relaxing all of my tense and aching muscles. To get yours head over to Manassas, Virginia medical cannabis dispensary Beyond / Hello ASAP! PS: Don't forget to tell them you heard about it on Toker's Guide!

  • Midnight Sherbert - Elevated Lounge DC

Happy Turkey Day Eve tokers! I know that many of you are psyched - just as I am - to spark something before the big feast tomorrow to help stimulate your appetite that much more. Well allow me to submit this Midnight Sherbert as a candidate for that mission. It's available right now (and on Thanksgiving itself) from one of our favorite DC i-71 storefronts, Elevated Lounge DC. It's full, dense, and some might called it "chunky", but when you crack her open you'll know that you stumbled upon something special. The flavor and aroma are an abundance of fruitiness with notes of something quite gassy or diesel like. The flavor is especially pronounced in a joint and enough to kick your salivary glands into over drive - totally a benefit for the turkey feast ahead. A cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties, we're not quite sure where the "midnight" name comes in, but speculation is that it's due to the deep dark purple hues that smatter each bud. People tend to think that purplish coloration is a mostly indica trait, but note that this varietal does run slightly sativa-heavy. That means while everyone else is going comatose from the tryptophan laden turkey, you'll have just enough energy to finish the stuffing AND the mashed potatoes! So as you put together your last minute, pre-feast grocery run, don't forget to stop by Elevated Lounge DC and grab some of this fantastic Midnight Sherbert for yourself. If you feel like getting something for the post dinner toast session you can't go wrong picking up some of their wood tipped Cannahiba "Cannon" pre-rolls as well. They go a long, long way and can easily help you fully recover from over mastication! 😂🤦‍♂️ Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

  • Mimosa - Sugar Ray's DC

Out of 5 of my closest ganja toking friends here in the DC area, two of them will tell you that their favorite strain is Mimosa. This plus I know several other people in the DC circuit and out West who have said the same thing. Given the universe of cultivars available to choose from, and believe me these people have been through their fair share of cannabis types, it says a lot about how good Mimosa can be. But, what makes her so great and so often chosen as a fav? Well, we're putting this fresh and fruity batch from DC i-71 delivery extraordinaire Sugar Ray's DC in focus and diving in face first to help reveal more. For a city that loves brunches more than, perhaps, any other city besides Paris, a strain called mimosa has an instant leg up. As the name implies, the citrus forward and effervescent aroma and flavor of this batch is something that closely resembles having your face stuck in a carafe of fresh squeezed orange juice and champagne. Of course, doing that wouldn't be in-line with recommended brunch etiquette. It would, however, be acceptable to waft the scent of a fresh fruited mimosa beverage before taking a sip. Similarly, I say it should be equally appropriate to do the same with these buds at the table - though some restaurants may frown on the move. 😂 A cross of Clementine and Purple Punch, it's no surprise that the strain packs as much flavor as it does, with terpenes available in abundance. What might be somewhat of a surprise, though, is just how far sativa leaning she runs. Clementine is a 50/50 hybrid and Purple Punch is indica heavy, something like 80/20. How did we end up with a sativa heavy hybrid? The answer lies in the parents selected, the stabilization process, and the eventual traits actually elicited by the offspring. These all matter more than the simple, rough math done with the estimated input percentages. The important takeaway for we tokers is simply that this Mimosa (and other Mimosi) does run sativa heavy and provides more than mildly energetic effects. It's the combination of these delightfully energetic effects and delectable citrus flavors that make me a big fan, and I'm sure this is what drives the affinity for others as well. It's creativity inspiring, joy inducing, and allows for the concept of a "perma-grin", though not heard of much recently, to be dusted off and thrown back into the lexicon. Whether brunch time or just daytime in general, this is definitely a toke for the daylight hours. I'd also say that if you haven't tried many sativas, but you're looking for something to help you stay more alert, this can be a pretty good one to help make the introduction to your system without getting over amped. To grab some of this deliciously potent Mimosa and find out why everyone raves about this strain, give Sugar Ray's DC a shout ASAP. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you! • Crazy Glue - No Kids Allowed

A 50/50, evenly balanced hybrid cross of two of my all time favorites, Gorilla Glue (GG) and Bubba Kush, this Crazy Glue is just what I was looking for this Friday afternoon. It's fresh and supple, but still dry enough to crack with the touch. As with most Gorilla infused cultivars there's a staggering amount of white trichomes coating all aspects of this batch's anatomy. Appropriately, you can find it at DC storefront No Kids Allowed, who's theme is that adults get to do "kid" things again like go to school and use craft supplies. Just like when you were a kid, you're probably going to get this Crazy Glue stuck all over your hands too. 🤗 The aroma is astounding - a heavy, but lovely pine with lots and lots of skunk overtones from the GG. Then, there are strong hues of lavender and slight ones of plum from the Bubba Kush side. I wasn't that surprised at how amazing it was, but my friend was a bit shocked when she looked back over and I was still smelling the jar something like 30 seconds later. Hey, what can I say? I love the smell of some great weed! The effects are pretty much the perfect blend of indica and sativa for a chill afternoon. There's a cozy body buzz like you just put on a warm wool sweater and the 50/50 stance means you can be mobile, should you choose. The most surprising aspects are the accompanying headiness and disorienting mental effects. Writing this article hasn't, shall we say, gone as fast as it probably would under other circumstances, but I feel really great about being stuck to my chair doing it! Maybe that's where the "glue" part comes in? For me, rolling it up and making tiny torch-like joints that I smoke while walking the dog (yes the proverbial dog walker) has been a most enjoyable experience with this strain. I get to zone out in the brisk and beautiful outdoors taking in the scenery, and he gets to take forever to do his "business" because I haven't a care in the world! To fill your coffers with some of this fabulous batch of Crazy Glue head over to DC i-71 storefront No Kids Allowed ASAP. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!

  • Cake Pop - District Derp

I'm a sucker for a great cake pop. As of today that not only applies to the infused balls of cake dipped into chocolate, vanilla, etc. It also applies to this highly potent slice of the Cake Pop cultivar from one of our favorite DC recreational delivery and pick-up services, District Derp. Fresh and phenomenally trichome covered with a sugary cake-like flavor, the only thing these Cake Pops don't have is the cardboard stick. A crossbreed of the delicious Birthday Cake and always heavy hitting Fire OG, Cake Pop is a predominantly indica hybrid running around 80/20. This indica presence is ever noticeable in terms of the almost narcotic-like effects. It's stupor, complete with squinting eyes and a mouth full of cotton, is a highly enjoyable one reminiscent of my early days of toking. Just make sure you have a fully stocked pantry full of munchies. Of course, the potency is also a testament to the considerable amount of effort and expertise put into the cultivation of this batch. It's aroma is like that of a sugary pastry, but any bakery trying to reproduce such a delectable smell and flavor would have to have skunks in the kitchen - this one is definitely full of pungent skunkyness. When you break it up it's crisp, but dense and still retaining stickiness on the inside. In the bong or bowl it burns with a hyper-white ash. Both of these observations are indicative of an ideal flush and cure as well as proper storage in the meantime. From potency to the complexity of it's exotic aroma and flavor, I can confidently say that this is some exquisite designer-level bud. The quality brings words like "boutique" and "small batch" to mind, which are terms I mostly reserve for west coast products. For all you connoisseurs out there, this one is definitely worth checking out. Give District Derp a shout ASAP and grab some for yourself! Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you and check out our deals page for a 10% off promo code!
