  • Jolly Rancher - Fast Slice DC

Hi Tokerverse! May is back with some news about the hottest new slice from DC's favorite digital pizza art service, Fast Slice DC. They also happen to be one of my personal favorite services and this week they brought me one of their most supreme strains, Jolly Rancher. If you haven't seen their latest, most up-to-date menu, click this link here. It reads like a fabulous pizza menu, and I definitely appreciate the ode to what has often been this stoner's meal of choice. If I could express my feelings about this week so far in terms of pizza, I'd say it's been a "personal pan style" kind of week. As in, I was feeling panned and I *personally* needed a serious mid-week pick-me-up. Pizza is always a step in the right direction for that, but this bud is really what gave me the friendly helping hug that I so needed. This personal slice, was my...personal pan? I first came across Jolly Rancher in Oregon and around the Pacific Northwest. I've noticed many sour-sweet candy-based strains making their way to east coast dispensary shelves lately, and I was psyched to see the familiar "JR" as we affectionately called it. Her lineage is unknown (how annoying), and the mystery is intriguing to both the proprietors of this batch and the Toker's Guide team. That said, she was one to remember - especially because of her unique effects. At this point in our collective cannabis journey as a country, I think we have all heard of the entourage effect, or we have seen the "wheel of fortune" style graph that explains which terpenes tend to manifest into what desired results. This strain behaves as I had hoped and expected - it seemed nearly identical to west coast batches of the recent past. I experienced Sativa-based bubbly-ness and found myself having a delightful afternoon, jamming along to 2000's indie-rock/pop. I finally had the kickstart I needed, all thanks to that Fast Slice. If you're in need of a little personal pan pizza party style pick-me-up I highly recommend grabbing a slice of this Jolly Rancher from Fast Slice DC for yourself ASAP. Tell them Toker's Guide sent you for 10% off!

  • Kite King Louie XIII Live Resin Sauce Disposable - Buddha Buddy DC

Look it's a bird, it's a plane, it's a...Kite! While that statement seems anticlimactic the important thing to consider is that Superman is fictitious and these Kite live resin sauce disposable pens are very real. If you haven't had the luxury of partaking in one of these lovely contraptions and you're looking to get more than your existing carts seem to offer, take a look - I'm thoroughly enjoying mine. Big thanks to Buddha Buddy DC for bringing it to my attention. This one's flavor is King Louie XIII and, having had a great deal of experience with this indica-heavy kush varietal, I must say it matches up really well. You can certainly toke and exhale with smooth, even, pulls of sweet Kushy-ness without the stinging harshness that some distillate pens can inflict. In terms of effects, expect your eyes to droop and an onset of heavy body buzz, particularly in your back. It's just amazing to me how indicas can make you feel so light on your feet, yet so utterly relaxed simultaneously. This is that experience, as little or as much as you want, joyfully. The reason being that actual live resin sauce totes a palpable entourage effect given the plethora of terpenes trapped in the making of it. As a refresher, live resin is made from fresh frozen cannabis harvests and makes for a more robust and all-encompassing experience. I certainly seek it out whenever I sense it's available and lately both its popularity and price have been going up hand in hand - further testament to how good it is. Anyhow, if you do the amount of moving about, running around and mixing it up all day that I do, it's very helpful to have a little side kick like the Kite for when you kick your feed up at the end of the day. Hit up Buddha Buddy DC today and you can be flying a Kite, just like me, in no time!

  • Meduzaa - House of Herbs

House of Herbs has some killer gifts this month and we were lucky enough to scoop up some of the mythological Medusa strain to review. This illustrious genetic, bred by Nirvana Seeds, is a back cross of the Misty genetic meaning that a hybrid offspring of the Misty genetic was then bred with one of its parents to produce a more stable genetic with a higher concentration of desirable qualities that only the minds at Nirvana Seeds truly know the depth of. Regardless, the resulting progeny dubbed Medusa has a depth of character respective to such a sophisticated breeding strategy. Medusa takes the consumer on a rollercoaster of effects that span the breadth of the available headspace, alluding to complex and layered terpene profiles of hitherto unexplored depths. Now when we think of a traditional hybrid effect, we think primarily of a blending effect between the quote “indica” and “sativa” sides of the spectrum. This typically sounds like “i'm not too up, not too down, just kind of mellow in the middle” which, admittedly, can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. But in general, this is how we have come to understand our cannabis and with that backdrop of generality I say that the Medusa genetic produces a non-traditional hybrid effect. Instead, it produces a layered and chronological cycle of effects that operate on both sides of the spectrum, just without that traditional blending. Rather than meld together the uplifting and sedative sides of the spectrum, the Medusa allows the consumer to experience alternating uplifting and sedative effects - a sort of exhilarating tour du terpene ride. The aroma is dominated by the fruity and earthy overtones, perhaps more-so earthy notes. But, the profile is not so dissimilar to others that it would suggest the uniqueness of its high. Don’t get me wrong, it smelled great and berry, earthy strains are absolutely fire; what I mean is that there is nothing that stood out within its scent profile that would indicate it could do something more than average. But go above and beyond it did! The initial come up is a euphoric launch into the ethereal and giggly stratosphere, where you are free to frolic and be joyous in the most lighthearted fashion. But as you burn down the joint you slowly descend from the clouds and into the viscous and dense world world that cocoons all your pains away and coddles you into the most blissful couch lock imaginable. It’s like Medusa takes us through the full spectrum of effects in the course of one session, touching on the finer points of both the uplifted and sedate sides that cannabis offers us. This delicate interplay of terpenes and cannabinoids is always a fascinating thing to study and I think I will have to spend a lot more time getting to know the Medusa genetic. I definitely want to shout out House of Herbs for finding us such a complex and nuanced experience. I hope everyone gets a chance to see how they react to this profile!

  • Miracle Alien Cookies - Spaced Out DC

This Miracle Alien Cookies (aka MAC) sample from Spaced Out DC is a prime example of some eye catching, aesthetically beautiful cannabis that is, as its name implies, quite the remedy as well. While the MAC has made its rounds in recent years, this has primarily been due to how easy and forgiving it is to grow. When a seasoned pro gets their hands on some excellent MAC genetics, however, the results can be quite astounding - as in this case. An aspect to note right off the bat is that of the anthocyanin stance of this cut. For those of you who aren’t hip to the nerd talk, this means the purple hues of cannabis. Anthocyanin is the pigment responsible for making blueberries blue and purple cannabis purple. Most genetics descended from grape lines are often bred to incorporate a more purple product because it helps to drive the brand. In this case, the purple pigmentation is elicited as well as a hint of a sugary grape-like aroma. While this MAC has a rich and creamy nose in the majority, and certainly higher levels of other terpenes (limonene, alpha pinene, beta myrcene), the unmistakable notes of grape are the real treasure. To me it's fascinating that this, in fact, stems from the numerous flecks of purple pigment themselves. Everyone reacts differently to cannabis and there are a plethora of compounds that contribute to the entourage effects which drive the diversity of highs we experience from our beloved plants. There is currently not a lot of research around anthocyanin and cannabis, but that doesn’t stop many people from reporting that their favorite cultivars are often the most purple. An interesting study might be to compare two different sets of MAC, one more purple than the other, and compare effects. The difference, even if only measurable observationally, may help you determine if selecting purple buds - one's higher in anthocyanin - is the right choice for you. We each have our own unique biochemistry to explore and it might behoove you to take notes about your experiences with different cultivars in order to keep better track and personalize in the future - it often helps me. In terms of effects, I wasn’t couch locked and I stayed relatively clear headed throughout my high - this in spite of staying consistently stoned all day from my sample. I won’t lie to you, I smoked the whole eighth in a day and was able to function quite well. I myself am a chronic pain patient and really enjoy strains that allow me to feel relief in my body, but also clear headed enough to find focus. The MAC, as a 50/50 hybrid, was an excellent daytime pain reliever for me and I really hope you can get the same amount of relief and functionality that I did. • Chocolate Sundae / The Mintz / Sherblato - Elevated Lounge

I can’t do it fellow Tokers!! I can’t take this heat and humidity!! My family comes from a colder northern climate and DC has me feeling like I’m melting into the streets!! I love the recreational properties of cannabis, but let’s not ignore the relief that we all enjoy from our favorite herb!! I stumbled into the Elevated Lounge, a shell of my former self, totally wiped out from the heat and humidity. What I really love about this place is the focus on hospitality and welcoming vibes; the security guard immediately noticed I had gotten my hair cut since I had last seen them and I’m not even there that often! Walking into Elevated Lounge feels like walking into your favorite pub where you’re a regular and friendly with the staff, and I love that. My friends at Elevated Lounge could see my spirit half hanging out of my body and swaying in the breeze. They knew I needed relief and needed it fast! Their budtenders expertly curated my experience quickly and efficiently while also being incredibly friendly and hospitable. I walked away with three incredibly beautiful strains and could barely wait to get home and begin my tasting. First up, the Chocolate Sundae! One night at the club Sundae Driver bumped into Chocolate Kush on the dance floor and their passionate embrace led to this delicious indica dominant hybrid. Sunday Driver is itself a cross of FPOG and Grape Pie; a balanced and uplifting hybrid with a sweet creamy flavor. Chocolate Kush is a potent and powerful indica known for its euphoric effects and chocolate aroma. So when these two beauties were dancing the night away, magical lighting struck and gifted Tokers everywhere with this relaxing yet uplifting indica-dominant hybrid that’s great for treating stress, anxiety, pain, or terrible dance moves! Next we have the Sherblato! As always my beautiful Tokers, I’m gonna keep it real with you. I am ALL about the sativa end of the spectrum! When Elevated Lounge gifted me this beautiful flower I was immediately in love just based on its good looks! A cross between Sherbert and Gelato, this was EXACTLY what I wanted and needed in my life at that moment - a sativa influenced energetic high. The budtender was laughing at me because I was geeking out so hard with excitement over it. Known for its uplifting energies and cultivating a good headspace, the Sherblato is also ideal for Tokers who need relief from stress or migraines! Plus it’s just beautiful and I like looking at it! Note you'll have more than enough energy to get things done, but not so much that you can't catch some Zzz's afterwards. This is my kind of...Sherb? 🤦‍♂️ Who doesn’t love a good mystery, my lovely Tokers? For our final flower, let's hop in the mystery machine and search for clues, because there isn’t a lot of information on The Mintz! Maybe it's all the "mints" strains combined? We'll have to do more strenuous research and get back to you. What I can tell you is that it’s a beautiful indica dominant hybrid, with a sweet citrusy nose and a beautiful structure. I can also tell you that it perfectly complimented my pizza and that I’m now so elevated that I’m not exactly sure where I’m going with this? So I challenge you!! Go to Elevated Lounge, tell them Tokers Guide sent you (which will get you a complimentary gift!), get yourself some of The Mintz, and help us solve this mystery!! What do you think The Mintz tastes and smells like? What do you think it feels like? Have any guesses as to its lineage or genetics? Let us know in the comments section because we love hearing from you!

  • Phantom Cookies x Runtz - Top Secret DC

I didn't get a chance to go by Top Secret DC last weekend, but I wish I had. Then I would've had some of these amazing Phantom Cookies crossed with Runtz that people were raving about. This and a slew of other awesome new strains were just added a few days ago and it's about as impressive as it's been over there right now... Phantom Cookies is a sativa dominant hybrid cross of GDP (Grandaddy Purps) and Cherry Pie that typically has quite the citrusy aroma, with a backdrop of grape laden doughiness. Imagine GSC but with a tinge of tangie-esque citrus. Then take that and add the mega terp heavy Runtz, itself a cross of Zkittles and Gelato, and the resulting entity is nothing short of spectacularly exotic and delicious in flavor. It really seems as if ALL the flavor traits of the aforementioned strains are being expressed at once in one profile. The high is a buzzy, stoney one, but with energy. Instead of being zoned out and catatonic, you're up and moving about wanting to enjoy new experiences, but maybe without the mental clarity of a haze or diesel. I really enjoyed this in a social setting later in the day as I was able to be carefree, but also alert and enthused enough to be more gregarious than with your standard indica. This is obviously grown in an impeccable way by someone with, at least, exposure to top professional cultivation techniques. The coloration and terp levels are remarkable and both indicative of this excessive level of designer grade quality. Due to the sheer potency, I think I have to say that this is one that may rattle the nerves and intoxication withstanding ability of newer tokers. For the seasoned crew, however, seek and enjoy - this superior level of exotic doesn't come around that often! Give Top Secret DC a shout ASAP to get your hands on some of this and their other epic designer strains. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!

  • Gold Leaf Dispensary Review - Annapolis, MD

If you are interested in top tier cannabis products, top tier customer service, top tier glassware and some of the best deals on cannabis products in the entire state of Maryland then Gold Leaf Annapolis, 2029 West Street Annapolis, MD 21401, is the spot for you! Located in gorgeous Annapolis, Gold Leaf offers a relatively easy commute from the eastern shore, Baltimore area, and areas closer to DC and indeed they see customers travel from all over the state for their deals and customer service. It’s no surprise that Gold Leaf is one of the single most trafficked and highest grossing independent dispensaries in the whole state but what is it that they are doing so right? The short answer is, pretty much everything. From their staff to their products, to their glass to their delivery service, everything is meticulously maintained to create a top tier experience for the patient that stands out from dozens of other dispensaries operating around Maryland. Let’s start with the staff. Gold Leaf is a bee hive of activity. On any given day you will see a packed waiting room with chic and stylishly attired employees bustling around, welcoming patients to the shop, helping them through their selection of glass/cbd products, or ushering them to the back room to make their thc cannabis purchase. Everyone moves with a sense of purpose and efficiency but not a single person seems too busy for you personally, not a single person seems upset or flustered, and not a single patient is rushed through their experience. From the amazing receptionists who get to know each patient and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, to their budtending staff who work with patients one on one to help them through the ever increasing menu of Maryland products, their staff truly make this dispensary a luxurious home away from home for Maryland cannabis patients seeking relief. The quality of the staff is one of my biggest factors in judging a dispensary experience; what kind of energy they give off, their overall mood, their level of engagement in educating and guiding patients, how well they are trained on cannabis science etc, all give me a good indicator of what kind of business is being run. Unfortunately, there are several places that are less than ideal to work at which typically translates directly into the patient’s experience. Gold Leaf makes sure that their staff is well taken care of which instead translates into the incredible customer service experience you get each and every time you go. Not only are they the best paying dispensary in Maryland for their entry level employees, but after doing a little research, they may be the highest paying dispensary on the entire east coast, maybe most of the country! This attracts the best and brightest industry talent which the patient gets to benefit from during each and every visit. Their investment into their staff has really paid off tremendously but that is not all they have invested in. Their building itself is an absolutely gorgeous build, employing white marble and glass display cabinets to great effect. Walking in immediately sets the tone for a luxury shopping experience that their staff turns into a personalized, high end experience that leaves patients consistently satisfied week after week. They offer a variety of pricing tiers with multiple strains of flower ranging from as low as $35/8th all the way to their top shelf which they cap at $55/8th (except certain exclusive brands that require certain contractual price points *cough* verano *cough* cookies*), not to mention their regular deals and exclusive product drops. Every day brings a new amazing sale; whether it's their $25 8th day, a $25 dollar cartridge day, or a BOGO 50% everything in the shop, Gold Leaf is here to provide a luxurious top shelf experience at some of the most affordable prices in the industry and for that, every patient is super grateful! But maybe you’re home bound or just too busy to make it in and see their amazing staff and products face to face. Well, no worries, Gold Leaf is there to come to you with a Tesla powered delivery service! Recently Gold Leaf started up their delivery service to great applaum, not just bringing the best deals and service directly to your doorstep, but doing so sustainably with their electric Tesla delivery vehicle. This is just icing on the cake of top tier cannabis customer experiences. Already providing one of the best cannabis retail experiences on the east coast, they decided to take it upon themselves to extend that top tier service to the patient’s home using sustainable technology that helps the community and their budget. Gold Leaf has truly gone above and beyond their competition and set a standard for cannabis dispensary business models. Dispensaries that are struggling to keep their vaults full and patient’s in the shop would be wise to follow their model but, regardless, Gold Leaf is there for us as a community for the long term. The fact that Gold Leaf consistently caters to hundreds of people on a daily basis means they are a successful business but having gotten to know them, I can confidently say that they are doing much more than creating a successful business, they are elevating the standards of the industry and setting themselves up to be community leaders of the future. I encourage anyone interested in a top tier cannabis dispensary experience to make the trip to Annapolis to meet their amazing staff and sample their abundant wares.

  • J1 - Trichome Honey Concepts

As a massive fan of trichomes I just had to check out Trichome Honey Concepts of DC. If you're not familiar, they're a small, but very hip and woman-owned cannabis club doing private appointments in the Adams Morgan area. Their focus is on the "headier" side of things with organic and local grown at the forefront of their mission. Of the assorted items they suggested for review, this J1 immediately caught my eye. Clearly fresh and locally harvested, the nose is that of anise, skunk, and a sweet citrus combined. This aroma pours deeply into the flavor as well and, upon exhale, you'll notice a delightfully refreshing burst of citrusy flavor with the anise aftertaste. In structure, you can see the quality of the genetics and the knowledge of the cultivator bringing to bear what ought to be a requirement for any flower of this I-71 vendor, heavy trichomes. Its fluffy, supple, yet sticky texture is another clue as to the freshness of this harvest. My only criticisms would be higher density and a slightly better flush, but this is being quite picky and for east coast small batch/homegrown it's pretty great. A crossbreed of infamous Skunk #1 and legendary Jack Herer (one of my all-time favorites) her effects are solidly on the sativa side of the house with about a 70/30 ratio. Yet, with the haze aspects of her heredity, expect to experience much more mental clarity and an energetic head high without the edginess provided by some sativas. You can certainly knock out a to-do list, but you might find that, with the creativity afforded, undertaking a constructive activity will be the most enjoyable experience. We hope to bring you more from Trichome Honey Concepts line of gifts soon. For now if you're in the market for a fresh, local-grown, hazy, citrus powerhouse of a toke give them a shout today and put some of this J1 in your coffers. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!

  • Bougie Brittle - Groggy Grocer

Groggy Grocer and team produces a plethora of delicious goodies out of their research kitchen, all of which are delicious and may or may not be inspired by the spirit of Willy Wonka himself. That being said, we had to pick one thing to review in spite of wanting to try just about everything on his menu and for that we chose their Bougie Brittle 100mg bag. I specifically chose this item to review because I don’t actually enjoy peanut brittle on a personal level but in spite of my personal tastes, this product absolutely represents Groggy Grocer’s craft quality and prestigious culinary skills, and is ultimately a product I feel is worth endorsing. So much so that I’m not even sure if I don’t like peanut brittle anymore, it’s that good! I think part of the reason why Groggy’s brittle is so scrumptious is because he sources super high quality ingredients for his concoctions, in this case, utilizing infused organic cane sugar as well as infused high-end european butter to create the amazingly medicated effects that we look for in our edibles. I cannot stress enough that the same principles that apply to good quality food products also apply to good quality cannabis edibles. At the end of the day, flavor is flavor, and your health is your health, and both things need to be considered when going about your edible purchases. Herein lies the secret to Groggy’s top-shelf nature, not just with his brittle, but with all his unique and proprietary infusions. Not only does the Grocer team use high quality and organic ingredients for infusion, but they also spread out their dosing per unit using a blend of sugar AND butter. This is super cool for two reasons. The first is that it creates a more nuanced and unique high experience in that edibles created using just butter, or just oil, have a singular onset time. That onset will be a direct relationship to your own personal metabolism, what you ate previously, and the cannabinoid carrier used. Broadly speaking, sugars absorb into the body fastest, different types of oils will absorb in the medium to long term range, and butters will take the longest to absorb, so, a lolly pop infused with just sugar typically hits you way faster than a brownie made with just butter or just a heavy carrier oil. The Bougie Brittle is made with an infused butter base and candied with an infused sugar allowing for ones body to absorb on two different timelines, effectively creating a much more unique, tiered, and crafty high that I find to be a much smoother and gentler come up than a single infusion product. This type of thought behind their product design is what really makes this group a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future, because they truly understand the nuances of the plant and are able to harness its power in ways that are pretty novel in the DC market place. But that’s not all… The Bougie Brittle and indeed all food products out of their kitchen are physically made by a trained and experienced executive chef who ensures that the niche and craft science they developed can translate into something truly delicious. The other aspect often not considered by edible producers who use only one infusion ingredient is the fact that to hit a target dosage that is meaningful to a customer, anything from a 20mg to a 200mg edible, requires far more butter or oil than a traditional culinary recipe typically calls for. This is why it is so common to come across really greasy, oily, super buttery products that really feel like diabetes and heart attacks should be listed as potential side effects to this medication. By spreading out their target dosage between two different mediums, the organic cane sugar and the european butter, Groggy Grocer and his team are able to create a brittle recipe that is as much a culinary masterpiece as it is a crafty nuanced high. This peanut brittle tastes like something you would get out of a high end confectionary and the high that follows ingestion is so smooth and enduring that I can no longer say that I do not like peanut brittle. I may never seek it out in the candy store at the mall but I will forever ask Groggy Grocer if he has more Bougie Brittle to munch on and for that I must applaud him. The collaborative team effort and R&D behind this Bougie Brittle, for me, make it one of the most artisan cannabis edibles you can find in DC. Everything from its development to its effects just screams “Willy Wonka is making edibles” in my head and that is something just so cool and special to find in the i-71 space. Please let me know how the dual infusion mechanisms influence your high but don't forget, a whole bag contains 100mgs! Know your own tolerance and please enjoy the artisan high that the Grocer supplies.

  • Bahama Mama, Gelatti X & Vanilla Frosting - Elevated Lounge DC

Can you feel it, my beautiful Tokers?!? Summer is nearing its end, and if you look hard enough, you can see the great pumpkin spice herds looming on the horizon. Let's make some memories and enjoy this last bit of summer sun before everyone starts to complain about how cold it is! In order to make the most of this steamy month of August, we’ll need supplies! With that in mind, we hit Elevated Lounge, one of our favorite local i71 compliant watering holes, to check out what they had to offer. Suffice it to say, they *elevated* our minds with three strains of fantastic flower! Starting off this terrific trio of terped-out treasures is the Bahama Mama! Allegedly first bred by Solfire Gardens, who crossed the popular Tropicana Cookies with Black Bananas strains to yield this potent Sativa hybrid, this mama ain’t playin’ and you best listen well if you know what’s good for you! Averaging THC percentages around 20%, the funky fruity nose precedes an artfully balanced palate with notes of citrus and berries. A terpene profile dominated by Limonene, Beta-Caryophyllene, Alpha-Pinene, and Nerolidol provides motivated Tokers with a great quick-hitting daytime flower that won’t leave you couch-locked. I loved how it was energetic and euphoric, yet chill. Next we diligently “researched” the Gelatti X. Coming from the famous Cookies group and known for its delicious flavor and balanced hybrid high, Gelatti X is a crossbreed of Gelato and OG Biscotti strains. How many different types of Gelato are there?!? Can we have a Gelato bar that features all the different offerings AND actual gelato?!? Doesn’t everyone love ice cream?!? Am I that high?!? The answer is yes, the question is how?!? Thankfully the Gelatti X is a balanced 50/50 sativa/indica hybrid, so I should still be able to run to the grocery store and get some ice cream cuz now I’m hungry. Averaging 20-23% THC, Gelatti X is energetic enough that Tokers have used its medicinal properties to treat ADD or ADHD, chronic stress, depression, appetite loss, nausea, and chronic fatigue. The palate is reminiscent of tart fruits, berries, and mint, but the nose almost has a gassy/diesel/earthy quality? It's hard to put my finger on it, but I love a good mystery! The nose and palate of this strain are SO intriguing to me! This is a rare chance to really get into a strain and I encourage our lovely Tokers to get some and really pick it apart. Try it in multiple formats and go down the rabbit hole with this one! Per usual I vaped, pulled tubes, and twisted up, but I really enjoyed vaping this strain! My trusty bubbler got in on the action too. Rounding out this trio of tactfully tenacious terpenes is the Vanilla Frosting (above)! Originally bred by Humboldt Seed Company, Vanilla Frosting is a cross of Humboldt Frost OG and Humboldt Gelato Bx3. Known for its smooth, creamy, vanilla flavor, Vanilla Frosting is a potent yet relaxing slightly indica-dominant hybrid strain (65% indica/35% sativa) ranging from 20-25% THC. I really love this flower and its flavor profile, not to mention it’s effects. As a desert lover though, this def left me wanting cake! Elevated Lounge has quickly become a top I-71 compliant storefront in DC for me and my needs! They’re SO consistent with their quality, but it’s their culture, ambiance, and hospitality that keep me coming back. You know that feeling of walking into your favorite pub? THAT is what going into the Elevated Lounge feels like. They’re so welcoming and hospitable, not to mention knowledgeable! I’m so confident in their staff that I can pretty much just let their team curate my experience knowing full well that I’ll be elevated to the highest heights. For a limited time if you name drop Toker's Guide you’ll receive a complimentary gift! Please let us know what you think in the comments section! Happy toking!!

  • GMO - No Kids Allowed

If you were up late watching the Olympics last night, or perhaps partying a little too hard, there's a tried and true way to get yourself some much needed rest and relaxation this dreary Saturday. After all, you want to be ready to go again on Sunday right? Perhaps even tonight if you can muster the energy? That one sure way to vegetate and recharge, in my opinion, is to toke upon a strong indica-heavy hybrid and let it whisk you away to some far off enchanted land, whilst resting comfortably on your couch. This batch of GMO (available now) from DC I-71 storefront No Kids Allowed can do just the trick. It's fresh, it's highly stinky - my friend called it "that stinky stanky" on first whiff - and given that its other alias is "Garlic Cookies" you will get inundated with a skunky garlic-esque aroma. It will literally cover every square inch of whatever area you toke in with its overtly odiferous nature. But, if you like the smell and flavor of a really savory, smooth toking indica, you're in for a treat. One that is well worth the complaints from your wife like "that stuff just smells too strong". Real tokers know that's actually a good sign, but this is your heads up! So now that you know you can make a hippy air freshener out of this stuff lets get down to brass tacks. If you're not familiar with GMO, aka GMO Cookies, aka Garlic Cookies, aka That Gargar, it's (again) a heavy indica (90/10) with all the pleasantries of it's GSC and Chemdawg heredity and none of the pesky sativa influence to make you feel obligated to do anything. It's mega euphoric, will make your eyelids droop significantly, and novice tokers can expect some disorienting mental effects. However, if your goal is R & R I have to say, a little mental fluidity can be a benefit to whatever you're streaming or reading, you'll just have to keep your eyelids open for those things. Overall, we love the smell, flavor, and vegetative state inducing potency of this GMO, especially for recovery mode. So if this sounds like what you need - to fill your pipes and enter Narnia for a while - head on over the Easter Market area of DC and check out storefront No Kids Allowed. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!

  • White Runtz - Buddha Buddy DC

As our buddy Buddha sat beneath the bodhi tree seeking enlightenment through meditation, a light rain began to fall from the sky. Onlookers gasped, fearful that the pitter patter of raindrops on Buddha’s head would break his meditation thereby keeping enlightenment just out of humanity’s reach yet again. Just when all hope seemed lost, a large cobra appeared from the brush and silently crept along Buddha’s back. The cobra rose up and over Buddha’s head and spread its majestic hood, blocking the irksome raindrops so that Buddha could continue his mighty meditation uninterrupted. A small but significant miracle had occurred! Luminous beings helped one another to avoid one of life’s little annoyances so they could accomplish something together!! Just like the cobra was there to help our buddy Buddha deal with the raindrops, so shall Buddha Buddy help Tokers throughout the land! Case in point, they graciously gifted our team of tenacious Tokers with a beautiful sample of White Runtz so we could find some much needed relief from some of our own annoyances of life. A beautifully balanced and rare hybrid strain, White Runtz crosses the famous Gelato and Zkittlez to yield a potent 50/50 indica/sativa split. This robust hybrid boasts a THC percentage averaging 23-24%, helping Tokers in their quest for enlightenment with its long lasting and relaxing highs. Tokers everywhere have found some much needed relief from anxiety, chronic pain, and stress thanks to this miraculous herb. White Runtz has an earthy and sweetly citrusy nose that precedes the delicious fruit flavors ready to dance seductively across your eager palate. Having a particularly harrowing week busy dodging what life what throwing down at me, Buddha Buddy’s gracious gift was just the shelter that I needed from a seemingly never-ending storm of stress. I vaped, I pulled tubes, I twisted up. The flavor alone was a welcome treat, and I immediately felt relaxed and uplifted. It was a long-lasting high that was potent, yet not at all anxiety inducing. Buddha Buddy is all about the vibes! I feel safe, welcomed, and taken care of whenever I meet with this wonderful provider. We’re so excited to continue our quest for enlightenment knowing that Buddha Buddy is here to shield us from the rain! Both of the feature strains we’ve had the pleasure to explore have dominated our palates, and the samples always seem to disappear almost as fast as we get them! Literally, as I’ve typed, I’ve realized that I’m all out! I can’t wait to see what this exquisite provider gifts us with next! Let us know what you think in the comments section! Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
