Hey tokers! If you're not familiar with Georgetown Flavors - and you're into designer/exotic cannabis - you definitely need to check them out STAT. There's so much variation in color and an absolutely flabergastingly strong flavor and aroma that I had to share it with you all. When it first graced my palate my expectation was for something of a similar nature to the Gelato #33 or Larry Bird. What I got, however, was a similar smoothy creamy, gelato goodness, but with a decidedly tart and citrus aftertaste. Ok so it's not quite a cherry limeade from Sonic in cherry lime flavor, but I argue it's way more awesome. It was the kind of experience where I would push past the other bags in my sample box, grab the lemon cherry gelato and have to convince my self "no, Matt, you need to sample other varieties for other reviews." It was so bad, that I smoked too much, couldn't get good pictures of what I had left, then sent a secret shopper to get more (sorry guys it happens!) so I could get photos (they still don't do it justice). A 60/40 indica heavy hybrid crossbreed of Cheery Pie, Gelato, and Key Lime Pie she's not going to leave you couch-locked, but does have the power to immerse you in immense relaxation. She's the kind of bud that will rush to your forehead, roll in a euphoric wave down your spine, and then envelope your whole body in a gentle warm glow...but you'll still have the energy to casually float through any toils of the day. Many of you are familiar with Runtz - the now infamous cross of flavor and potency powerhouses Zkittles and Gelato. You may also be familiar with the similarly flavorful cross of Gelato #41 and Triangle Kush called Gushers. But, do you know about Gruntz? This is, of course, the crossbreed of Runtz and Gushers. While running pretty close to 50/50, there is still a slight indica skew with this batch, but I think it's a good thing in that it leads to more juiciness from the Gushers side of the house (it runs slightly more indica). Note: You will go through an interesting olfactory journey with this upon opening the bag. The first notes you encounter are certainly skunky with a hint of coffee, even. Yet, as you continue to inhale the fruitiness oozes through. Then, just when you think the tour is over, here comes the Gelato influence with a creamy, chocolatey finish. The complexity of flavor is truly worthy of the finest palate. BTW, it's been a while since I've recommended a beverage pairing. For me this goes excellently with a mezcal old fashioned - one of my "go-to's". The smokiness of the mezcal intertwined with the multitude of bold flavors from the bud creates an exquisite aftertaste you have to try (if you're into smoky, boozy, cocktails that is). In terms of appearances and structure, this bud is cultivated nearly to the highest level. The trichome coverage is great, but I wouldn't say "thick"...and that's ok. Sometimes the methods to achieve, and even the actual over-presence of, trichomes can lead to a sacrifice in flavor. I don't believe the cultivator "let-off" for this purpose though. It's more likely that he/she/they were simply enamored with the beauty of her colas and decided there was no need for further "assistance". In either case, well-done. I think this specimen actually does well to represent an ideal balance between natural beauty, power, and flavor. You could say it's a pure example of the breed in that sense. Overall, partaking in this bud is the epitome of connoisseur-level experience. Happy Friday tokers! I hope everyone is recovering from the major midweek holiday that was 4/20/21! We had a blast roaming around to all the different dispensaries and storefronts in town. To me the name Slurricane gives off a vibe like it's the largest or fastest roller coaster in a super aggressive amusement park. Hey everyone it's May! I'm super excited to tell you all about our cannabis caravan (or crawl as some would like to say) across DC on 4/20. That's right, Jack and I hit the pavement traversing six dispensaries while seeking as many great deals and lavish experiences as possible. It was remarkable to see all of the tokers out and supporting our shared holiday! You could feel and smell the goodness from literally every corner of the city. Takoma Wellness Center The first stop of the 420 tour was Takoma Wellness Center. You can find them off of Blair Rd in NW DC. Takoma had a line out the door right from the start. We had such an excellent experience with Charles (Identifiable by his festive cannabis sport coat) and must give full marks on both the displays and one of the most extensive menu selections I've seen in the city. National Holistic Healing Center Jack and I followed the Rock Creek path south into the city's center. Just outside of Downtown, we stopped into the National Holistic Healing Center located off of Connecticut Ave. Our budtender was a delight and gave us great suggestions. Jack, of course, picked up some excellent Jack Herer - more on it soon. By the way National Holistic Healing will be moving to a new location shortly - we will be venturing back and share more on their new spot as soon as we can. Herbal Alternatives Continuing our journey south, we wandered over to Herbal Alternatives off of Rhode Island Ave. They are the only DC dispensary I've seen with what amounts to deli-style purchasing options. Your budtender actually trims and packages the flower on the spot with an expert explanation of the product and a cheery grin on their face. This ability to smell and see your product, to really get to know it more intimately beforehand, makes for sort of a farm-to-table style experience. I see this as a peek into what the DC area's medical cannabis scene can become. Capital City Care Jack (being the fountain of great ideas that he is) suggested a quick sushi "sesh,". After enjoying non-infused sushi, we made an abrupt U-turn to U Street, where Capital City Care can and should be visited. Inside they have a super trendy and contemporary interior. The staff had decorated extensively with prizes, raffles, and all kinds of games to play. Every one of the fabulous team members behind the counter seemed so jolly and genuinely happy to be there on this stoner holiday of holidays - such a warm and fuzzy vibe! Kinfolk With the sun drifting lower to meet the horizon, we advanced south in search of Kinfolk Dispensary. Once there, I noted that the Kinfolk merch. available in the lobby is reason enough to pay them a visit. Once through the door, we were pleased to see products out and in unique, organized displays. Jack introduced me to Jamila who was kind enough to send us on our way through the facility with some fantastic merch. Relva and Cannamexdc - Jack said, “Let’s get tacos.” We departed Kinfolk and, hearing music around the corner along with the smell of freshly cooked tacos, we were drawn down the street to Relva where there was a party very much alive and thriving. This location was a highlight for me and a great closing for our crawl. Relva is an eye-catching storefront on the corner of H Street with CBD and other amazing items to be had. Along with them, and clearly the olfactory center of said party, was Cannamexdc - DC kings of the infused taco. They served us up some unreal, mind-blowing tacos. Then we stepped inside to view the inviting and professional space that is Relva. The staff were incredibly welcoming and fun to chat with. You can tell customer service is a top priority here, but in a mellow, laidback and inviting way. Can't wait to come back! Overall, we had an absolute blast roaming around DC on 4/20/21 and getting to sample all that the amazing day had to offer! It's a dream come true to have such a great arrangement of medical marijuana dispensaries around me to choose from! Can't wait for next year!

Greetings everyone! I am delighted to be welcomed into this ensemble of tokers as the newest reviewer! For my first review, I had the pleasure of sampling the sweetest... the iciest... the delectable... "Oreoz" from The Safe House. If you're not familiar with them they're a great I-71 storefront just a little ways down H street in NE DC. As the image on their bags appropriately implies, they have some very strong, very intense gifts 🤗 . Upon opening the pack, your senses are flooded with a full and fresh sugariness, like the sweetest punch you've ever received. At first glance, it seems almost as though you're looking into the top of a famous Oreo Blizzard from Dairy Queen; the contrast between the light and dark colorations were that pronounced. It's not actually black and white, but you can definitely see how the name comes into play simply from appearances. The hyper white trichomes (clearly the icing or stuffing in this analogy) are abruptly interrupted by stunning bursts of deep purple and green. Unlike the famous cookie we all love, however, this version is iced from the outside with an extravagant amount of trichomes piled on in the heaviest of layers. Is this strain meant to be based on "double stuffed" Oreos? It should be! The strain Oreoz is a brilliant indica-heavy crossbreed of Secret Weapon x Cookies n’ Cream bred by 3rd Coast Genetics of Michigan. While it leans heavily in the Indica spectrum, it can be enjoyed day or night, in my opinion, since it's euphoric feels aren't overly sedative. It's extremely sticky, but still workable enough to make it a pleasure to pair with either your morning or evening paper 😉 . At 26% THC and with sweet sugary flavor for days, this bud is a dessert all on its own. It's from my current blissful state of post "dessert" satisfaction that I recommend for you to check out The Safe House and add this treat to your toker stash today!

I was surprised to see if come across my desk - did a double take in fact. I mean this shit is fire. We should all be so lucky to have this in our stash box for the upcoming festivities! A three way cross of Zkittles, Sunset Sherbert, and Magnum Opus (an old school fav of mine) this batch runs just slightly indica (60/40) and can pack a seriously high THC percentage. I'd say the Sunset Sherbert / Cookies influence is most pronounced in the aroma while the Zkittles is most expressed in the tangy fruity flavor. You can catch some drive with this and not be couch-locked (stemming from the slight diesel influence), but it certainly has those euphoric indica feels. Probably a great one for the late afternoon. Perhaps the perfect happy hour bud? The smoothness, despite the near scariness of the coloration and trichomes, is remarkable when smoked. I guess this is what makes the name so appropriate - isn't sorbeto one of the silkiest fruity, icy treats possible? Bravo cultivators 🙌 I think you served up the perfect scoop! This is another great one for those organic blunt wraps I mentioned in my most recent article (we're still trying to work out the review with them - coming soon), but twist her up however you like. I'm not sure if any of the strains comprising this delectable three way Kush hybrid came from the Devil's backyard, but the quality is of a level so high I wouldn't be surprised if supernatural influence was involved 👹 😂 . Yes, with THC levels reaching 31%+ this very new and already buzz worthy cross of Afghani Kush, Purple Kush, and Phantom Kush is a euphorically clobbering indica cultivar. Perhaps the great irony here is that, upon exhale, it takes you to a place that is uniquely heavenly despite the connotations the name might imply. The structure is fluffy. The feel, aroma, and flavor are all indicative of extremely fresh, recently harvested, hydroponic indoor of the highest order. It's bouquet is a whirlwind of fresh fruit, pepper, and an almost wildflower-like level of complex sweetness. The term trich'd out should have a photo of these buds next to it in urban dictionary. Roll this one in an organic blunt wrap (more on our choices for these soon) and enjoy one of the most mesmerizingly intoxicating, yet ultra smooth and sophisticated tokes ever. Look in your ashtray afterwards and what you'll find will resemble a fresh blanket of snow - the ash is so so flaky white. It's noted that throughout the world the most popular Easter symbol is the lamb. Accordingly, it has also been considered a lucky sign to come across a lamb around Easter time (among other times). Biblical connection or otherwise Bob Marley is said to have called a certain Jamaican landrace cultivar known as "Lamb's Bread" his favorite strain. Well tokers, it's Easter weekend, this strain is called Lamb's Bread, and it has an image of Bob Marley burning a massive joint on the top of the jar. I guess all we can say is thanks for the good luck - and future legal advice - Street Lawyer Services! <<<(they sell legal time with gifts of cannabis) That's right, we decided to check out the famous storefront that is Street Lawyer Services and, we gotta tell you, it was pretty refreshing. The atmosphere was bright, clean, and vibrant. There was no pressure, but things were definitely streamlined and optimized (in a delightful manner). There was no sitting room - but that might be a good thing considering the potency levels of some indica specimens on hand 😂 . No, this was reminiscent of the pleasant early west coast dispensary vibe of "Hey how can I help you? Something you were looking for, specifically?" Then they help you pick a jar and - no presto change-O behind the scenes - that's the jar you get. Plus, the whole thing...in and out in like 5 minutes! It only took slightly more time to find parking. Anyhow, my point is that if you're in a time crunch and you just wanna hit the walk-in of cannabis, this is where it's at (as long as they're not too crowded). Back to the Lamb's Bread, there's good reason why Bob called this his...ehem..."jam". It's an uplifting cerebral sativa varietal that helps you keep jamming as long as you're rolling it up. Interestingly, like most great sativa landraces, it also has a very mystic, hazy sense to it. One that brings to light the more spiritual side of ganja, which has been evident among humanity for ages. One also continuously noted by Marley in his music and teachings. This holy, spiritual, beautiful (really anything you'd like to call it) weekend I recommend checking out: 1). While maintaining the bud structure typical of original Runtz "models" these smaller sized nugs hit fast and pack a serious punch. A worthy ode to the exotic sports car maker, check out these Ferrari Runtz from Tribal Leaf DC. The second you take a whiff of this batch you will know you found something worth instagramming about. There's a strong coniferously fruity presence to the dense and tightly cropped buds of white and lime green. But you certainly can't miss the light-colored plum accents throughout as well. It's trichomes, as you can clearly see, are hyper-white and delightfully smattered everywhere to boot. I guess you could say this model is "top of the line"! Under the hood (ok maybe that's taking the car analogy too far?), I was expecting a somewhat crushing smoke (not necessarily a bad thing) given the smell, but I was surprised by a mega smooth piney creaminess upon exhale. Pleasantly increased awareness and noticeable stress relieving effects were also immediately felt and remarkably strong. Our hypothesis: this is what the "Ferrari" part of the name can be most attributed to - the speed and strength of its onset. While new to Toker's Guide, def. check these guys out (Tribal Leaf). I was impressed with their selection and the quality was certainly on point. The Ferrari Runtz are just one of several top-shelf designer choices and they're paying considerable attention to the freshness, quality, and (especially) aroma of their flower.
